On March 22, two new products submitted by Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group—namely, the Class 3 chemical drug pentoxifylline sustained-release tablets (0.4g) and sorbitol-mannitol irrigation solution (3,000 ml)—obtained drug production registration approvals from the National Medical Products Administration and are deemed to have passed the consistency evaluation. As of now, the group has secured approval for 13 new products this year.
On March 22, two new products submitted by Shijiazhuang No.4 Pharmaceutical Group—namely, Class 3 chemical drug theophylline sustained-release tablets (0.4g) and sorbitol-mannitol irrigation solution (3000ml)—obtained drug production registration approvals from the National Medical Products Administration and are deemed to have passed the consistency evaluation. As of now, the group has secured approval for 13 new products this year.
It is reported that Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group’s theophylline sustained-release tablets (0.4g) are the first and only ones of this type to be approved domestically; the sorbitol-mannitol irrigation solution (3000ml) is the second to receive approval.
Theophylline is primarily used for disorders of cerebral blood circulation as well as peripheral circulatory disorders; sorbitol-mannitol irrigation solution is mainly used for intraoperative irrigation during transurethral resection of the prostate and other urological surgeries.
Relevant officials from the Group’s R&D Center stated that the approval of these two new products brings the total number of products that have either passed or been deemed to have passed consistency evaluations to 40 varieties and 52 specifications, which will play a positive role in further enriching the series of pentoxifylline and rinse products.
