On March 23, the General Office of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the 2022 List of Green Manufacturers, and Hebei Guangxiang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group was included on the list. This marks the second green factory selected for the group, following its inclusion in the first batch of Green Manufacturing Demonstration Enterprises by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in 2017.

This marks the second green factory selected for the group, following its inclusion in the first batch of Green Manufacturing Demonstration Enterprises by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in 2017.
To implement the “14th Five-Year Plan for Green Development of the Industrial Sector” and the “Implementation Plan for Peaking Carbon Emissions in the Industrial Sector,” and to continuously improve the green manufacturing system, Guangxiang Pharmaceutical has consistently placed the development of a resource-saving and environmentally friendly modern pharmaceutical enterprise at the forefront of its strategic priorities. We are actively building a green pharmaceutical system that is technology-driven, environmentally friendly, and resource-efficient. At the same time, we are vigorously promoting the integration of informatization and industrialization and adopting innovation-driven initiatives, constantly accelerating our transformation and structural adjustment. We are pursuing a path of circular economic development that is resource-efficient and environmentally friendly, striving to create highly efficient, clean, low-carbon, and circular green factories, and positioning ourselves as a leading example of energy-saving and environmentally friendly enterprises in the industry. In 2021, Guangxiang Pharmaceutical was included on the provincial list of green manufacturing enterprises.
The list of green manufacturing enterprises is determined through a series of procedures, including self-assessment by the applicant organizations, evaluation by third-party institutions, assessment and confirmation by provincial-level departments of industry and information technology, expert review, and public announcement. This time, a total of 40 enterprises from Hebei Province have been included on the green factory list. Currently, Hebei Province has accumulated a total of 157 green factories, ranking seventh nationwide in terms of quantity.
It is reported that in 2016, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology launched the construction of a national green manufacturing system. Green factories are production units within the manufacturing sector and serve as the primary implementers of green manufacturing. Cultivating and establishing green factories is a core component of the green manufacturing system, aiming to guide and support enterprises in shifting toward intensive land use, cleaner production processes, resource recovery of waste, and low-carbon energy consumption, thereby promoting green and low-carbon development in the manufacturing industry. As of now, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has announced seven batches of more than 3,600 green factories.
