On September 19, following the launch of the “Carrying Forward Reform and Opening-up to the End” public lecture series jointly organized by the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, the Communist Youth League Central Committee, and the All-China Women’s Federation, a first group of national lecturers—comprising seven exemplary figures including “Role Model of the Times” Wang Yong, “Outstanding Communist Party Member Nationwide” Yu Liufen, “National Moral Model” Xue Ying, recipient of the “National May Day Labor Medal” Xu Liping, recipient of the “China Youth May Fourth Medal” Han Xiao, “National March 8th Red Banner Pioneer” Wang Liping, and Li Qingkun from the Sixth Chinese Peacekeeping Police Detachment sent to Mali—arrived in Hebei to deliver lectures and presentations.

To personally experience the achievements of the 40th anniversary of the reform and opening-up, members of the publicity team, accompanied by Zhang Xingang, Deputy Director of the Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, visited the company. Shi Jianhui, Secretary of the company’s Party Committee, warmly welcomed them and engaged in an in-depth exchange on the company’s remarkable achievements in its leapfrog development since the reform and opening-up.
Stepping into the company’s exhibition hall, they learned that over the course of the company’s 70-year journey—from starting from scratch to becoming strong and prosperous—especially since the start of China’s reform and opening-up 40 years ago, the nation’s pharmaceutical industry has undergone tremendous transformation. The company has gone through phases of exploratory practice, learning from others, and independent innovation, and has now entered a new era of leapfrog development. This experience also enabled the members of the publicity team to deeply appreciate the innovation and vitality that reform and opening-up have brought to enterprises.
It is understood that the “Carrying Forward Reform and Opening-up to the End” mass lecture campaign is an important component of the mass-based thematic publicity and education activities celebrating the 40th anniversary of reform and opening-up. The campaign aims to deeply promote and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. By widely carrying out these lectures across urban and rural areas nationwide, it will enable cadres and the general public to share, through real people, real stories, and genuine emotions, their experiences of life changes and struggles amid the tide of reform and opening-up. This will showcase practical actions and positive images reflecting their commitment to studying and implementing the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the CPC and actively engaging in the great practice of socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era. It will also highlight the sense of gain and accomplishment felt by the people since the start of reform and opening-up, especially since the 18th National Congress of the CPC, thereby inspiring and guiding the broad masses of the people to rally even more closely around the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, firmly establish the “Four Consciousnesses,” continuously strengthen the “Four Confidences,” remain true to our original aspiration, keep our mission firmly in mind, and strive tirelessly to successfully navigate the Long March of the new era and carry reform and opening-up to the end.
