Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Finance announced the list of National Demonstration Enterprises for Technological Innovation for 2018, recognizing 68 enterprises as National Demonstration Enterprises for Technological Innovation. Our company was included on the list and is the only enterprise from Shijiazhuang City to receive this honor this year.
Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Finance announced the list of National Demonstration Enterprises for Technological Innovation for 2018, recognizing 68 enterprises as National Demonstration Enterprises for Technological Innovation. Our company was included on the list and is the only enterprise from Shijiazhuang City to receive this honor this year.
The National Demonstration Enterprises for Technological Innovation primarily refer to enterprises in key industrial sectors that demonstrate strong technological innovation capabilities, achieve remarkable innovation results, and play an important role as models and guides. Enterprises selected for this designation must possess core competitive strengths and a leading position, master the core technologies crucial to their development, and hold independent intellectual property rights. Moreover, their R&D investment must account for at least 3% of their annual sales revenue, and they should exert a driving influence on their respective industries. It is understood that the management of National Demonstration Enterprises for Technological Innovation is dynamic: every three years, these enterprises undergo a reassessment and evaluation. Those that meet the criteria will have their designation confirmed, while those that fail to meet the standards will have their title revoked.
In recent years, Shijiazhuang No.4 Pharmaceutical has focused on transformation, upgrading, and innovative development as its main strategic direction. Taking the structural adjustment of its flagship product—large-volume intravenous solutions—as a breakthrough point, the company has continuously increased its investment in technological innovation, accelerated the building of its capabilities in technological innovation and new-product R&D, and gradually established a relatively complete, scientific, and well-defined system and working mechanism for technological innovation. The company has successively set up high-level innovation platforms such as a postdoctoral workstation, an academician workstation, a Nobel Prize-winning expert workstation, a national-local joint laboratory for quality control of chemical pharmaceutical injections, and a National Enterprise Technology Center. Additionally, it has jointly established drug research centers with renowned universities including Tianjin University, Zhejiang University, and Zhengzhou University. These high-level innovation platforms have effectively attracted top-tier talent and unleashed their innovative potential. In 2017, Shijiazhuang No.4 Pharmaceutical’s “Experience in Controlling Insoluble Particles in Injections through Comprehensive Quality Management” was recognized as a provincial benchmark for quality among industrial enterprises. This year, its project “Establishment and Application of a Quality Control System for Soft-Packaged Large-Volume Intravenous Solutions” won the First Prize for Provincial Scientific and Technological Progress. The number of newly approved and applied-for products and patents has surged, placing the company among the industry leaders in terms of invention patent holdings. A series of new products, including moxifloxacin hydrochloride sodium chloride injection and sodium acetate Ringer’s injection, have been successively put into production and are gradually achieving industrialization. Technological innovation is driving the company’s virtuous cycle of development, continuously boosting economic benefits. As a result, Shijiazhuang No.4 Pharmaceutical’s leading position in the domestic intravenous solution industry and its role as an innovation exemplar have become increasingly prominent, powerfully promoting the company’s innovative, green, and high-quality development.
