On November 22, the Exhibition of Shijiazhuang’s Outstanding Achievements in Enterprise Development—celebrating the 40th anniversary of reform and opening-up—organized jointly by the Publicity Department of the Shijiazhuang Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, opened at the Shijiazhuang International Convention and Exhibition Center.

On November 22, the Exhibition of Shijiazhuang’s Outstanding Achievements in Enterprise Development—celebrating the 40th anniversary of reform and opening-up, jointly organized by the Publicity Department of the Shijiazhuang Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions—opened at the Shijiazhuang International Convention and Exhibition Center. With the theme “Forty Years of Steadfast Progress—A New Era Begins in ‘Zhuang’,” the exhibition showcases the remarkable transformations that have taken place in our city’s economy and society through the presentation of enterprise development. The opening ceremony was presided over by An Shuguo, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People’s Congress and Chairman of the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions. Vice Mayor Jiang Wenhong attended the event and delivered a speech. Song Mingxia, Chairwoman of the company’s trade union, along with more than 50 employees, also participated in the opening ceremony.

In her speech, Jiang Wenhong fully affirmed the important role played by our city’s working class in the process of reform and opening up, and expressed earnest hopes that all workers throughout the city and trade union organizations at all levels will better shoulder their responsibilities and forge ahead with greater determination in the great journey toward building a happy Shijiazhuang.

In the exhibition hall, 25 participating companies—including Shijiazhuang No.4 Pharmaceutical, the Municipal Bus Corporation, Changshan Textile, and Beiren Group—displayed, in their respective exhibition areas, photographs, text, and physical exhibits that chronicle the arduous entrepreneurial journeys of their employees and the development milestones of their enterprises. It is understood that the participating companies cover all aspects of our city’s “4+4” modern industrial sectors, with a total of 1,911 photographs on display.

“Let us forge ahead with determination and strive for a new era,” said Song Mingxia. This exhibition focuses on strengthening the contrast between past and present and highlighting horizontal comparisons. It makes full use of historical photographs and employs a richly illustrated format to vividly showcase the remarkable achievements made by our company and enterprises in our city over the past 40 years of reform and opening-up—especially since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. After viewing it, I feel deeply inspired. As industrial workers in the new era, we must remain true to our original aspirations, keep forging ahead with determination, and step up to the new mission of driving high-quality development for our enterprises.
