On August 9, Gong Xiaofeng, Director of the Hebei Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, accompanied by Zhan Peng, a member of the Party Leadership Group of the Shijiazhuang Municipal Government, visited Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group for a research visit. During the visit, they learned about the company’s progress on industrial investment and technological upgrade projects, urged and guided the company to implement epidemic prevention and control measures, and listened to the company’s views and suggestions on the current performance of the industrial economy, as well as on industrial investment and technological upgrade investments.

On August 9, Gong Xiaofeng, Director of the Hebei Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, accompanied by Zhan Peng, a member of the Party Leadership Group of the Shijiazhuang Municipal Government, visited Shijiazhuang Fourth Pharmaceutical Group for a research visit. During the visit, they learned about the company’s progress on industrial investment and technological upgrade projects, urged and guided the company to implement epidemic prevention and control measures, and listened to the company’s views and suggestions on the current performance of the industrial economy, as well as on industrial investment and technological upgrade investments.

Gong Xiaofeng and his delegation visited the site of the new formulation and biopharmaceutical industrial park project at Hebei Guolong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. under the Group, where they gained a detailed understanding of the project’s progress and its industrial advantages. The project broke ground in March 2020 with a total investment of 1 billion yuan. It will primarily focus on the production of specialty active pharmaceutical ingredients, innovative drugs, and high-end generic drugs. Upon completion, the project will help the company achieve high-quality development. Gong Xiaofeng encouraged the company to strengthen cooperation with world-class R&D institutions and industry-leading enterprises, integrate upstream and downstream sectors, extend the industrial chain, and move toward the mid-to-high end of the market.

During their research visit to the group, Gong Xiaofeng and his delegation held a symposium with corporate leaders including Qu Jiguang, Chairman of the Board of Shijiazhuang Fourth Pharmaceutical Group; Su Xuejun, Chairman of Shijiazhuang Fourth Pharmaceutical Group; and Wu Hengyao, President of the group. They listened carefully to the enterprises’ suggestions and opinions on promoting industrial development, asked detailed questions about relevant matters, and engaged in in-depth discussions with everyone on various issues from time to time. The atmosphere at the scene was lively and enthusiastic.

Gong Xiaofeng pointed out that we must thoroughly implement the important instructions and directives of General Secretary Xi Jinping as well as the spirit of the Central Political Bureau meeting held on July 30. We should ground ourselves in the new stage of development, fully, accurately, and comprehensively embrace the new development philosophy, serve and integrate into the new development pattern, and earnestly carry out the decisions and deployments of the provincial Party committee and provincial government. We should support enterprises in stepping up technological upgrades and industrial investment, thereby helping to promote the transformation and upgrading of industries. We should combine efforts to solve enterprises’ difficulties with Party history study and education, and carry out the practical campaign “Do Practical Things for the People, Solve Difficulties for Enterprises” in a solid manner. We must carefully compile lists of issues, adhere to results-oriented and goal-oriented approaches, establish a three-level enterprise assistance mechanism at the provincial, city, and county levels, and implement tailored assistance measures for each enterprise. This will create an even better business environment for enterprises and provide strong support for achieving high-quality development of the province’s manufacturing sector.

Relevant officials from the Planning Division, Comprehensive Division, Operation Monitoring and Coordination Bureau, Equipment Industry Division, and Consumer Goods Industry Division of the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, as well as corresponding officials from the Shijiazhuang Municipal Department of Industry and Information Technology and Gaocheng District, participated in the research visit.
