Xia Guolong has been awarded the May 1st Labor Medal of Hebei Province.

Recently, the Hebei Provincial Federation of Trade Unions issued the “Decision on Awarding the May 1st Labor Medals of Hebei Province to Comrades Including Yin Chao and Granting the ‘Hebei Province Worker Pioneer’ Title to Collective Units such as Fang Fengjun’s Innovation Studio.” Xia Guolong, Deputy General Manager (Deputy Director) of the R&D Center (Institute of Pharmaceutical Research) at Shijiazhuang Fourth Pharmaceutical Group and Senior Engineer, was awarded the honorary title of May 1st Labor Medal of Hebei Province.

Recently, the Hebei Provincial Federation of Trade Unions issued the “Decision on Awarding the May 1st Labor Medals of Hebei Province to Comrades Including Yin Chao and Granting the ‘Hebei Province Workers’ Vanguard’ Title to Collective Units such as Fang Fengjun’s Innovation Studio.” Xia Guolong, Deputy General Manager (Deputy Director) of the R&D Center (Institute of Pharmaceutical Research) at Shijiazhuang Fourth Pharmaceutical Group and Senior Engineer, was awarded the honorary title of May 1st Labor Medal of Hebei Province.

For the past 15 years, Xia Guolong has been engaged in pharmaceutical R&D. With a dedicated and diligent work ethic, he has embraced solitude in innovative roles, boldly ventured into uncharted territory, and achieved remarkable professional accomplishments. His R&D project, “Development of a New Production Process for Ambroxol Hydrochloride Sodium Injection,” won the Hebei Province Science and Technology Achievement Award; his project, “Key Technology Development and Industrialization of Bromhexine Hydrochloride Glucose Injection,” received the Third Prize of the Hebei Province Science and Technology Award. In 2016, he was recognized as a member of the third-tier candidates under Hebei Province’s “333 Talent Program.”

In 2020, at the Hebei Province Employee Outstanding Technological Innovation Achievement Exchange Event and Employee Innovation Competition jointly organized by the Provincial Federation of Trade Unions, the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, and the Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, the project “Development and Industrialization of Key Technologies for Vertical Polypropylene Infusion Solutions,” led and completed by Xia Guolong, won the Second Prize for Outstanding Technological Innovation Achievements among Hebei Province Employees.
In accordance with the relevant guiding principles and the provisions of the “Administrative Measures for the Selection and Management of the May 1st Labor Awards, May 1st Labor Medals, and Model Worker Units in Hebei Province,” and following deliberation and decision at the meeting of the Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Trade Unions, 46 individuals and 59 collectives that meet the criteria for the Provincial May 1st Labor Medal and the Provincial Model Worker Unit titles have been awarded the honorary titles of “Hebei Province May 1st Labor Medal” and “Hebei Province Model Worker Unit,” respectively.
The Provincial Federation of Trade Unions’ “Decision” calls upon the individuals and groups receiving awards to cherish their honors, remain humble and avoid complacency, stay true to their original aspirations, and keep forging ahead. They are urged to carry forward the spirit of model workers, the spirit of labor, and the spirit of craftsmanship, and to bravely be pioneers, trailblazers, and contributors who lead the way in this new era. All workers across the province should closely follow the pace of the times and socio-economic development, stay committed to their respective posts, love their jobs and perform them with dedication, study diligently, and work assiduously. They should strive to be at the forefront of promoting Hebei’s high-quality development and endeavor to demonstrate new achievements of the working class in the new journey of fully building a strong economic province and a beautiful Hebei in the new era.
