Shijiazhuang Fourth Pharmaceutical’s new product, Terbutaline Sulfate Solution for Nebulization Inhalation, has received production registration approval.

On April 12, Shijiazhuang No.4 Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. received the drug production registration approval from the National Medical Products Administration for its Class 4 new chemical drug—Terbutaline Sulfate Solution for Inhalation (2 ml: 5 mg). This makes it the second company in China to obtain such approval, and the approval is considered equivalent to passing the consistency evaluation.

On April 12, Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. received the drug production registration approval from the National Medical Products Administration for its Class 4 new chemical drug—Terbutaline Sulfate Solution for Inhalation (2 ml: 5 mg). This makes it the second company in China to obtain such approval, and the drug is deemed to have passed the consistency evaluation.
Terbutaline is an adrenergic β2 receptor agonist that selectively stimulates β2 receptors to dilate the bronchi. By enhancing mucociliary clearance, which is often impaired in obstructive lung diseases, terbutaline accelerates the removal of mucus secretions. Clinically, it is indicated for bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, and other pulmonary disorders accompanied by bronchospasm.
It is reported that the domestic market size for terbutaline sulfate inhalation solution currently stands at approximately 500 million yuan.
