Recently, Shijiazhuang No.4 Pharmaceutical’s moxifloxacin hydrochloride sodium chloride injection has been approved by the National Medical Products Administration to pass the evaluation of bioequivalence and therapeutic equivalence for generic drugs.
Moxifloxacin Hydrochloride Sodium Injection belongs to Category 6 of the original chemical drugs and has been included in the National Essential Medicines List. Moxifloxacin is a fourth-generation quinolone antibacterial agent and a new-generation antibiotic with a broad-spectrum antimicrobial profile. It is primarily used to treat various bacterial infections, including pneumonia, tuberculosis, endocarditis, conjunctivitis (pink eye), and respiratory tract infections. Earlier this year, Shijiazhuang Fourth Pharmaceutical Company urgently provided emergency support and donations—including Moxifloxacin Hydrochloride Sodium Injection and Abidol Hydrochloride Capsules—of antibacterial and antiviral medications to Wuhan, Hubei Province, and the Shennongjia Forestry District, playing a positive role in clinical treatment and rescue efforts.
It is reported that, as of now, Shijiazhuang No.4 Pharmaceutical has had a total of nine specifications across seven product categories—fluconazole tablets (50mg, 150mg), prucalopride succinate tablets (1mg, 2mg), cefdinir capsules (0.1mg), rosuvastatin calcium tablets (10mg), doxofylline injection, ropivacaine hydrochloride injection, and moxifloxacin hydrochloride sodium injection—pass the National Generic Drug Quality and Efficacy Consistency Evaluation or be deemed to have passed such evaluation. The person in charge stated that the company will continue to accelerate the development of generic drugs and advance research on generic drug consistency evaluation, striving to create new opportunities and room for maneuver to build a new product structure and adapt to emerging changes in market demand.
