On February 27, Shijiazhuang No.4 Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. issued an appeal to all Party members and employees, calling on them to donate funds to support the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Faced with the sudden onslaught of the COVID-19 pandemic, medical workers across the board have stepped forward without hesitation, fighting day and night. PLA officers and soldiers have responded promptly to the call, boldly taking on tough challenges. The broad masses of the people have united as one, standing together in solidarity and helping each other. Each touching heroic deed and every uplifting ode to life has deeply moved and inspired the Party members and employees of Shisi Pharmaceutical.
“Where the Party calls, I’ll take action.” Within less than half an hour, the Second Branch of the Shi Si Pharmaceutical Department’s Party Committee mobilized 34 Party members and employees to donate a total of 2,800 yuan, which was promptly delivered to the Party and Mass Work Department of the company. Feng Jiansen, secretary of the First Branch in the Development Zone and also director of Workshop 204, took advantage of his work breaks to spread the call for donations; frontline Party members and employees readily stepped forward, generously contributing their heartfelt support. Yang Huiling and other Party members dispatched to the new plant in the Cangzhou Bohai New Area also sent donations via WeChat, expressing their firm confidence in the fight against the epidemic. Liu Qingping, an employee from the Quality Control Department, said: “We hope that our small contribution can help provide one more protective garment for medical staff in the wards, one more mask for residents in areas hardest hit by the epidemic, one more ray of confidence for patients isolated in the hospital wards, and one more delicious meal for the community volunteers who are tirelessly on duty day and night.”
In recent days, the vast majority of employees at Shisi Pharmaceutical have channeled the enthusiasm and vigor sparked by the fight against the epidemic entirely into the frontline efforts of producing emergency medications such as abidol hydrochloride capsules, as well as into innovative development of the company following its resumption of production and operations. It is reported that the Medical Supplies Guarantee Group under the Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism of the State Council for the Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia Epidemic has issued “Emergency Task Dispatch Orders” for abidol hydrochloride capsules to Shisi Pharmaceutical twice in succession. The first batch of task instructions was issued less than 39 hours after the order was received, demonstrating remarkable efficiency. In addition, Shisi Pharmaceutical has so far donated a total of 2.57 million yuan worth of emergency rescue medications to areas including Wuhan, Hubei Province, and the Shennongjia Forestry District.
Su Xuejun, Chairman of Shiyao Group and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, stated that fighting the epidemic is a responsibility shared by the entire society as well as a mission for pharmaceutical companies.
