At 8:00 a.m. on February 10, the reactor in the 602 Intermediates Workshop and the reaction tank in the 603 Finished-Products Workshop were promptly loaded with the first batch of materials according to the company’s production schedule, and subsequent process reaction steps were also gradually started up. All major production lines at Shisi Pharmaceutical Group Guangxiang Pharmaceutical have been fully activated and have entered a phase of steady production.
At 8:00 a.m. on February 10, the reactor in Workshop 602 for intermediates and the reaction tank in Workshop 603 for finished products were promptly loaded with the first batch of materials according to the company’s production schedule, and subsequent process reaction steps were also gradually started up. All major production lines at Guangxiang Pharmaceutical, part of Shisi Pharmaceutical Group, have been fully activated and have entered a stage of steady production.
“As long as the epidemic doesn’t subside, we can’t afford to relax our prevention and control efforts for even a single day,” said Lu Fengjun, General Manager of Guangxiang Pharmaceutical. During the critical phase of the epidemic, to prepare for the resumption of work and production, middle-level and above management personnel arrived at their posts ahead of schedule. The company established an emergency management team for the epidemic and developed a contingency plan for handling epidemic-related situations, and also proactively procured protective supplies such as masks and thermometers. Now, every day, the company rigorously carries out temperature checks and information registration for employees, and regularly conducts thorough disinfection of factory areas, dormitories, and employee cafeterias.
While maintaining strict epidemic prevention and control measures, during the Spring Festival, Guangxiang Pharmaceutical’s environmental protection workshop continued its biochemical and physicochemical treatment processes around the clock without stopping, ensuring that all discharge standards were met and providing a solid guarantee for stable production operations. After the holiday, Guangxiang has made scientific adjustments to its production organization and is making every effort to ensure 24-hour uninterrupted production. Currently, the daily output of Product A in Workshop 602 has reached 19 tons, the daily output of Product B in Workshop 603 has reached 3 tons, and the daily output of Product C has reached 6 tons. Yang Huiling, Director of the Comprehensive Office at Guangxiang Pharmaceutical, explained that the Management Committee of Cangzhou City and the Bohai New Area Port Development Zone has dispatched dedicated personnel to the company to provide assistance and address practical issues affecting production. At present, the employee attendance rate is steadily increasing day by day, and production capacity is gradually recovering.
Lu Fengjun said, “Although the epidemic prevention and control measures have posed considerable challenges to our business operations, these impacts are only temporary. Our core business objectives remain unchanged, and we must make every effort to ‘make up for’ the losses caused by the pandemic. As the epidemic situation gradually improves, the market’s potential will be further unleashed.” Recently, Guangxiang Pharmaceutical has overcome numerous difficulties and actively boosted sales. To date, it has already shipped several batches of active pharmaceutical ingredients, and will accelerate the pace of shipments going forward.
