“This batch of raw materials is absolutely critical to us—it’s directly linked to the production of urgently needed intravenous solutions for our epidemic prevention efforts. I never would have imagined that they could be inspected and released so quickly! This has truly relieved our urgent need. The customs service has been incredibly helpful!” Wu Hengyao, General Manager of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., who had been anxiously waiting at the bonded zone cargo yard in Zhengding all morning to pick up the goods, wore a smile on his face as he expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the head of Zhengding Customs.
At around 0:30 a.m. on February 1, eight container trucks loaded with production materials for epidemic prevention drugs from Shijiazhuang Siyao gradually entered the main checkpoint of the Shijiazhuang Zhengding Bonded Zone.
At around 0:30 a.m. on February 1, eight container trucks loaded with raw materials for the production of epidemic prevention and control medicines entered the main checkpoint of the Shijiazhuang Comprehensive Bonded Zone. Two customs officers from Zhengding Customs, which is affiliated with Shijiazhuang Customs, had already been waiting at the checkpoint. They immediately began disinfecting and inspecting the goods, completing the entire inspection and clearance process in just 15 minutes.
It is understood that this batch of materials, with a total weight of 192 tons, serves as the raw material for infusion packaging produced by Shijiazhuang Fourth Pharmaceutical. This is the first shipment of imported epidemic prevention and control goods supervised by Shijiazhuang Customs.
Since the outbreak of the epidemic, Shijiazhuang No.4 Pharmaceutical has urgently produced and dispatched 170,000 bottles (bags) of various emergency antibacterial, antiviral, and basic infusion drugs—including moxifloxacin hydrochloride sodium injection and sodium chloride injection—to Wuhan, Enshi, and other regions. Due to several consecutive days of full-capacity production, there has been a severe shortage of raw materials used for packaging these infusions. “The timely clearance of these raw materials has ensured the continued production and supply of epidemic prevention and control medications by pharmaceutical companies.”
The epidemic prevention personnel at Zhengding Customs, which is affiliated with Shijiazhuang Customs, promptly disinfected the vehicles entering the zone.
Diyanbo, Director of the Zhengding Customs, stated, “The epidemic is an order, and ensuring supply is our responsibility. For materials needed for epidemic prevention and control, the customs will go all out—conducting inspections as soon as the goods arrive, releasing them immediately upon inspection, and expediting clearance.”
The Zhengding Customs, affiliated with Shijiazhuang Customs, promptly carried out inspection procedures on this batch of imported epidemic prevention and control pharmaceutical materials from Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical and quickly released them.
Currently, Shijiazhuang Customs has set up a fast-track clearance window and green channel at its import customs clearance sites to ensure “zero-delay” rapid clearance of epidemic prevention and control supplies.
