“This is the second batch of pharmaceuticals being shipped to Hubei,” said Li Ligong, the manager of the Storage and Transportation Department, who was on-site directing the loading operations. “Today, three trucks will deliver this shipment to Wuhan. The supplies include 70,000 bags of moxifloxacin hydrochloride sodium injection, 60,000 bags of basic infusion solutions, and sterile water.”
In recent days, Shijiazhuang No.4 Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. has continuously received requests for supplies from hospitals and state-owned pharmaceutical distribution companies in Wuhan, Hubei Province, and other regions, seeking emergency medical support. Upon learning of this, Qu Jiguang, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shijiazhuang No.4 Pharmaceutical Group, immediately instructed the company to urgently dispatch moxifloxacin hydrochloride sodium injection—a medication used for the emergency treatment of respiratory infections—to the frontline of epidemic prevention and control in Wuhan.
“An epidemic is an order; ensuring supply is our responsibility.” On January 25—the first day of the Lunar New Year—Shijiazhuang No.4 Pharmaceutical urgently dispatched over 3,000 units, totaling 100,000 bags, of moxifloxacin hydrochloride sodium injection to provide support to Wuhan and Enshi in Hubei Province.
“The delivery vehicles rushed overnight to Wuhan City and Enshi Prefecture and were promptly dispatched to the hospitals as required,” Li Ligong said. He added that after the drivers assigned to handle the freight arrived at their destinations, they promptly provided us with feedback.
Warehouse staff remain at their posts and diligently handle the procedures for releasing emergency supplies.
“To meet the needs of epidemic prevention and control, on the one hand, we’ve developed operational contingency plans, accelerated production and stockpiling, and maintained close communication with the Health Commission and the Drug Administration. We promptly report inventory levels and scientifically coordinate clinical and market supplies. On the other hand, personnel in sales, warehousing, logistics, and supply positions have remained at their posts throughout the holiday period, staying on standby at all times. As soon as we receive an order, we immediately organize shipments, striving to deliver medicines to the frontline of prevention and treatment as quickly as possible,” said Su Xuejun, Chairman of Shijiazhuang Fourth Pharmaceutical, who stayed on duty during the holiday.
“Faced with the epidemic, ensuring market supply is the pharmaceutical industry’s sacred duty. Now is the time to prove ourselves—we must go all out and live up to our mission,” said Su Xuejun.
