At 3 p.m. on January 21, Zhang Juhua, Secretary of the Gaocheng District Committee, and Yan Juntang, Minister of the District Committee’s Organization Department, together with Wu Gaiqiu, Director of the Shijiazhuang Economic Development Zone Management Committee, and Jia Shuli, Deputy Director, paid a heartfelt visit to enterprises to extend their warm greetings and best wishes to Sun Lijie and Wei Seli, two high-level talents. As soon as Secretary Zhang Juhua stepped out of the car, he offered warm blessings to Sun Lijie—talent under the Provincial “Hundred Talents Program,” Assistant to the General Manager of the company, and Director of the Pharmaceutical Research Institute—and to Wei Seli—Provincial Young Top Talent, Senior Researcher at the Pharmaceutical Research Institute, and Head of Division One at the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient Research Institute: “Happy early Chinese New Year to Dr. Sun and Dr. Wei! We’re deeply grateful for your contributions to the innovative development of both our enterprise and Gaocheng!”

Secretary Zhang Juhua asked with great concern about Sun Lijie and Wei Seli’s work and living conditions. Upon learning that NP-01, a Class 1 new chemical drug jointly developed with domestic research institutions, is a brand-new small-molecule compound with independent intellectual property rights—whose patent has already been granted in China, the United States, and Europe—and that this new drug has recently been accepted by the Drug Review Center of China’s National Medical Products Administration, he was extremely pleased. He warmly encouraged them, saying, “Keep on developing innovative drugs to benefit people’s health and boost the local economy!”

Dr. Sun Lijie, representing the company’s scientific and technological personnel, expressed gratitude for the warm encouragement from the leaders of Gaocheng District. He stated that, as a scientist and technologist in the new era, he feels deeply aware of the great responsibility on his shoulders. He pledged to seize every moment, live up to his youthful years, redouble his efforts, and live up to his mission, delivering outstanding achievements to repay the leaders’ care and the enterprise’s high expectations.

Zhang Juhua listened carefully to the achievements that the company’s Chairman Su Xuejun has made in recent years in the areas of talent development and innovation. He gave Sun Lijie and Dr. Wei Seli a detailed introduction to the economic and talent-development environment of Gaocheng District, and expressed his gratitude to the numerous scientific and technological personnel of Siyao for their active contributions to Gaocheng District’s economic and social development. He pointed out that development is the primary task, talent is the foremost resource, and innovation is the driving force. Currently, Gaocheng District is at a critical stage of accelerating its transformation and development, and there is an urgent need to leverage the leading role of scientific and technological innovation. He encouraged all scientific and technological workers to deeply study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important thoughts on scientific and technological innovation, firmly uphold their confidence and determination in independent innovation, dedicate themselves to their posts and achieve outstanding accomplishments, speed up breakthroughs in core technologies, continuously deliver innovative scientific and technological achievements, promote the commercialization and application of these innovations, and strive to contribute more wisdom to high-quality development.

“We must continuously improve the science and technology service system, wholeheartedly enhance the quality of service, actively build platforms for scientific and technological innovation, and do our utmost to create a better environment and atmosphere for scientific and technological personnel to play their roles and showcase their talents. We should maximize the stimulation of entrepreneurial passion and innovative vitality among all kinds of talents, thereby creating favorable conditions for scientific and technological workers to achieve remarkable accomplishments in the new era,” he said, issuing instructions to the responsible officials from relevant departments in Gaocheng District who accompanied him on the visit.
