It is reported that the Shanghai Disinfection Association (SDA) was established in 2004 under the initiative of Professor Xue Guangbo, a renowned expert in disinfection, epidemiology, and disease prevention. The association was approved by the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization and the Municipal Administration of Social Organizations. The association’s mission is to abide by national laws, regulations, and policies, as well as uphold social ethics and moral standards. It aims to publicize and implement government policies and regulations pertaining to the disinfection industry, promote self-discipline, standardize business practices, leverage complementary strengths, and jointly pursue development. The association’s main activities include: conducting research, providing professional training, facilitating and disseminating information, offering technical services and consulting, promoting and exhibiting products, formulating and publishing technical standards and guidelines, and undertaking tasks entrusted by the government.
Currently, the member units of this association primarily come from Shanghai and various provinces in East China, with disinfection companies from Beijing, Hebei, and other provinces also participating. Among the members and directors are disinfection companies from Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Japan, which wield considerable social influence in the domestic disinfectant industry.
In recent years, while developing chemical pharmaceutical preparations and chemical active pharmaceutical ingredients, the company has also been actively engaged in the research and development of disinfectant products and markets centered around the greater health sector. Its “new-concept” hand-free disinfectant, household spray disinfectant for surfaces and air, and a series of products tailored for hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, and other sectors have gained strong market acceptance.
