On March 10, Deng Xiaomei, Vice Chair of the Shijiazhuang Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), visited and conducted a research tour at Shijiazhuang Siyao Group, a member enterprise under her paired-connection arrangement. She also held a symposium and exchanged views with the expert talents and CPPCC members she is in contact with. Han Shuqin, a member of the Municipal CPPCC and Executive President of the Group, and Sun Lijie, Executive President of the Group and General Manager of the R&D Center, participated in the visit and symposium.

Deng Xiaomei paid a field visit to the R&D center of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group, where she engaged in warm and friendly exchanges with expert talents and committee members. She carefully asked about and learned about their work and life conditions, and expressed full recognition of the company’s remarkable achievements in scientific research innovation, production, and operations.

During the symposium and exchange, Deng Xiaomei carefully listened to the experts, talents, and committee members’ opinions and suggestions on Shijiazhuang’s business environment, technological innovation, and talent development.

This year marks the inaugural year for fully implementing the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, as well as the year in which Shijiazhuang will strive to push its economic aggregate past one trillion yuan, achieve a leapfrog development, and showcase its strengths. The new-generation electronic information and biopharmaceutical industries bear the heavy responsibility of taking the lead in making breakthroughs. Deng Xiaomei stated that we must fully listen to the opinions and suggestions of expert talents, implement relevant policies, strengthen various service and support measures, optimize the working environment, and foster a robust atmosphere that respects, cherishes, and attracts talent. We should accelerate the construction of industrial parks, creating high-level parks with strong supporting service capabilities and low-cost parks, thereby enhancing our capacity to accommodate major projects. We must adhere to innovation-driven development, intensify technological research and development, increase investment in R&D, unleash the innovative vitality of talented individuals, and step up the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements. It is crucial not only to attract foreign investment but also to focus on nurturing a batch of projects that extend, supplement, and strengthen existing local industries—thereby achieving integrated development of the innovation chain, industrial chain, and talent chain—and making new contributions to pushing the city’s economic aggregate past one trillion yuan and realizing a leapfrog development.
