Another beautiful spring has arrived. On the morning of March 23, the company’s Fourth Session of the Ninth Workers’ Congress and the Advanced Employees Recognition Ceremony were solemnly held here. Company leaders Qu Jiguang, Su Xuejun, Zhang Qingjiang, Wu Hengyao, Han Shuqin, Li Weimin, Shi Jianhui, and Song Mingxia took their seats on the rostrum. Nearly 200 employee representatives from various workshops and departments, along with outstanding workers and producers, gathered together to discuss the company’s future development plans. The meeting was chaired by Song Mingxia, Chairwoman of the Trade Union.

The conference solemnly honored the company’s outstanding teams and individuals for 2018. General Manager Su Xuejun first read out the commendation decisions. Accompanied by cheerful music and enthusiastic applause, representatives of the outstanding teams and individuals took to the stage one after another, receiving certificates and medals—symbols of honor and achievement—from the company’s leaders. Liu Xiaojuan from the Institute of Pharmaceutical Research, representing the 2018 Outstanding Producers (and Workers), issued an appeal to all employees: “Always maintain a positive spirit and full work enthusiasm, and dedicate your youth and passion to the company.”

The meeting called on all employees to take the exemplary advanced collectives and individuals who have been commended as role models, closely focus on the 2019 goals and tasks that have been set, and, with a spirited and proactive attitude and a pragmatic, down-to-earth work style, remain dedicated to their posts, forge ahead with determination, and carry out their work diligently, thus making greater contributions to the company’s journey toward becoming a world-class pharmaceutical enterprise.
At the subsequent Trade Union Congress, amid a solemn and enthusiastic atmosphere, Qu Jiguang, Chairman of the company, delivered an operational work report titled “Staying True to Our Original Aspirations, Pursuing Innovation and Progress, and Striving to Write a New Chapter of High-Quality Enterprise Development,” entrusted by the Board of Directors and the company’s leadership team. The report systematically summarized the work carried out in 2018, conducted a scientific assessment of the current situation, and clearly defined the work objectives for 2019. It identified key priorities for 2019: adapting to new changes in industrial policies and achieving breakthroughs in the adjustment of production and sales structures; accelerating the development of innovative enterprises and driving enterprise transformation, upgrading, and leapfrogging; strengthening quality and safety management to ensure the healthy and stable development of the enterprise; speeding up the construction of key projects and continuously fostering new drivers of growth; and cultivating and shaping an outstanding corporate culture to unite hearts and minds and create synergies that propel development forward.
The conference also heard the report titled “Explanation on the 2019 Economic Responsibility System and Employee Compensation Adjustments,” delivered by Wang Chunfa, Deputy General Manager of the company.
During the breakout sessions, the participating leaders and employee representatives divided into seven groups and engaged in thorough and detailed discussions centered around the two reports. Everyone expressed that the work report objectively and fairly summarized past achievements, conducted a scientific and in-depth analysis of the current situation, and formulated practical and comprehensive plans for future work. The report demonstrated a high-level perspective, broad vision, precise positioning, and concrete measures, making it highly instructive for effectively carrying out the work in 2019. Regarding the company’s production and operations in 2019 as well as issues related to employees’ interests, the representatives actively offered suggestions and advice, putting forward constructive opinions and recommendations. Qu Jiguang, Chairman of the company, responded one by one to the suggestions and comments raised by the employee representatives on topics such as enterprise development and employees’ livelihoods.
