On the afternoon of August 10, a delegation from the Special Committee on Digital Economy and Digital Trade of the China World Trade Organization Research Association visited and inspected Hebei Guangxiang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., part of Shijiazhuang Fourth Pharmaceutical Group. Dong Mingzhi, Member of the Standing Committee of the Cangzhou Municipal Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Bohai New Area, Secretary of the Huanghua Municipal Party Committee, and Director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People’s Congress, accompanied the delegation during the inspection. Li Fan, Member of the Standing Committee of the Cangzhou Municipal Party Committee and Head of the Publicity Department, also joined the visit.
The delegation visited Guangxiang Pharmaceutical and listened to a briefing by Chairman Cui Yongbin on market development, scientific research and innovation, and strategic planning. They expressed their appreciation for Guangxiang Pharmaceutical’s remarkable achievements in accelerating the dual circulation of domestic and international markets—leveraging its industrial development advantages, seizing opportunities presented by the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and driving growth through innovation and capital operations.
Dong Mingdi said that vigorously developing the pharmaceutical industry is of great significance for deepening reform of the medical and healthcare system, promoting comprehensive health development, and fostering new drivers of economic growth for the Bohai New Area and Huanghua City. Dong Mingdi expressed his hope that the Special Committee on Digital Economy and Digital Trade of the China World Trade Organization Research Association will continue to pay close attention to and provide ongoing support for the development and construction of the Bohai New Area and Huanghua City, offering more valuable insights and suggestions in areas such as pharmaceutical industry development and smart city construction. The Bohai New Area and Huanghua City will leverage their own developmental strengths, provide comprehensive service and support, and promote mutually beneficial cooperation between the two sides in an even broader range of fields.
Yang Yong, Director of the Specialized Committee on Digital Economy and Digital Trade of the China World Trade Organization Research Association, stated that the Bohai New Area and Huanghua City possess tremendous development potential and a vibrant atmosphere for getting things done. He expressed hope that both sides will focus on key regions and priority areas and carry out comprehensive docking and cooperation. The Specialized Committee will fully leverage the role of its experts and scholars as a “think tank” to seize the opportunities presented by the digital economy, promote the development of digital trade, and contribute to accelerating the Bohai New Area and Huanghua City’s efforts to become leading hubs of the coastal economic belt and highlands of reform and opening-up.
