I’ll cherish this youthful memory forever.” On June 1, 110 undergraduate and graduate students from 10 universities—both within and outside the province, including China Pharmaceutical University, Shenyang Pharmaceutical University, Hebei Medical University, Hebei University of Science and Technology, Hebei College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Shijiazhuang College—successfully completed their internship and defense sessions at Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group, lasting half a semester. Overjoyed, they received “Outstanding Intern” certificates presented by the company.

I’ll cherish this youthful memory forever.” On June 1, 110 graduating undergraduates and master’s students from 10 universities—both within and outside the province, including China Pharmaceutical University, Shenyang Pharmaceutical University, Hebei Medical University, Hebei University of Science and Technology, Hebei College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Shijiazhuang College—successfully completed their internship and defense assignments at Shijiazhuang Fourth Pharmaceutical Group after a semester-long program. Overjoyed, they received “Outstanding Intern” certificates presented by the company.

Among this group of intern students, 44 are from China Pharmaceutical University, with majors including pharmaceutical preparations, medicinal chemistry, drug analysis, pharmacy, and traditional Chinese medicine. During the internship, the students not only gained an understanding of the company’s production and R&D operations but also engaged in targeted discussions with their mentor teachers dispatched by the company, integrating what they had learned in their coursework and their graduation research projects. One student interning at the R&D center of Shijiazhuang Fourth Pharmaceutical Group said: “My classmates and I came here specifically because we’d heard great things about this place. The company has made extremely thorough and comprehensive preparations in every aspect. The researcher assigned as our mentor is highly experienced, down-to-earth, and incredibly helpful for our professional studies.”

“Bringing in students from well-known universities for internships is an excellent way to accelerate our company’s talent development, attract top talent, expand our influence, and focus on driving robust growth,” said Su Xuejun, Chairman of Shijiazhuang Fourth Pharmaceutical. Over the past several years, the company has spared no effort in creating favorable conditions for attracting, nurturing, and developing talent, and has established and implemented a talent strategy and working mechanism that “attracts people through development, cultivates them through work, unites them through sharing, and evaluates them based on performance.” Last year, the company forged strategic partnerships with universities including China Pharmaceutical University, Shenyang Pharmaceutical University, Lanzhou University, and Hebei Medical University, setting up internship and practice bases at the company for undergraduate and master’s students.

To ensure high-quality internship support for college students, Shijiazhuang No.4 Pharmaceutical Group has established a special task force dedicated to student internships and practical training. According to the head of human resources management at the R&D center, they have assigned a mentor to each student, providing professional guidance tailored to their graduation research projects. In addition to offering free accommodation and meals and paying generous internship allowances, the company also organizes various activities for the students, such as visiting the revolutionary holy site of Xibaipo, touring the ancient city of Zhengding, attending corporate R&D summary and commendation meetings, and selecting outstanding interns. These activities enrich the students’ internship experience, help them better understand the company and the city of Shijiazhuang, promote Shijiazhuang’s image, and attract more students to contribute to the development of Shijiazhuang’s industries.
