Chairman Qu Jiguang Elected as a Member of the CPIA Standards Committee

Recently, the Standards Working Professional Committee of the China Pharmaceutical Industry Association (CPIA) was established. Qu Jiguang, Chairman of the company, was elected as a member of the inaugural Standards Committee.

Recently, the Standards Working Specialized Committee of the China Pharmaceutical Industry Association (CPIA) was established. Qu Jiguang, Chairman of the company, was elected as a member of the inaugural Standards Committee.
It is understood that the Standards Working Specialist Committee of the China Association of Chemical Pharmaceutical Industry was established, following China’s accession to the International Council for Harmonisation of Technical Requirements for Pharmaceuticals for Human Use, with the aim of enhancing drug quality. The committee was set up through research conducted by the China Association of Chemical Pharmaceutical Industry (CPIA) based on recommendations from the National Pharmacopoeia Committee.
The responsibilities of the Standards Committee include: developing industry standards; participating in the formulation and revision of national standards (the Chinese Pharmacopoeia); and organizing training sessions on international standards.
The first director of the Pre-Standardization Committee is Tu Jiasheng, a member of the Executive Committee and a member of the U.S. Pharmacopeia Commission, a member of the National Pharmacopoeia Committee, and a professor at China Pharmaceutical University. The deputy director is Professor Zhou Jianping from China Pharmaceutical University. The committee members are the directors of various relevant specialized committees.
