Time flies, and the way of heaven rewards those who work diligently. History will forever remember 2021 as a year that carried forward the past and ushered in the future. In this year, amidst a complex situation and challenging market environment, Shijiazhuang No.4 Pharmaceutical demonstrated unwavering resolve in facing challenges and seized opportunities through hard work. On the page of development, it penned strokes that resonated deeply, leaving an indelible mark on the journey toward the group’s high-quality growth.
This year, we tackled tough challenges and pressed ahead with determination, achieving new record highs in our business performance. The Group’s sales and production of intravenous solutions continued to grow steadily, while the sales and production of ampoule products gradually scaled up. The solid dosage form business segment also saw steady progress in both sales and production, expanding its market influence nationwide. Guangxiang Pharmaceutical and Guolong Pharmaceutical further demonstrated their strengths in product quality, output, and cost-effectiveness. Meanwhile, Jiangsu Bosheng has enhanced its capability to provide complementary products that align with its leading products and downstream segments of the industrial chain.
This year, we embraced change and seized the momentum, with innovation-driven development yielding remarkable results. Building on a solid foundation of innovative achievements, we have secured a total of 32 national product approvals and submitted 72 applications for various product approvals. Our phased innovation model—“developing a batch of new products, commercializing another batch, and reserving a third batch”—is gradually taking shape and becoming increasingly systematic. We’ve also achieved significant progress in consistency evaluations: four product specifications—ciprofloxacin lactate sodium injection, fluconazole sodium chloride injection, and metronidazole sodium chloride injection—were among the first in the industry to pass the consistency evaluation. Meanwhile, our intellectual property protection efforts have advanced in parallel: the Group has cumulatively filed 286 patent applications and been granted 167 patents, including 67 Chinese invention patents and 5 international invention patents. The Group successfully passed the re-evaluation as a National Demonstration Enterprise for Technological Innovation and was included in the list of pilot enterprises for the integrated development of advanced manufacturing and modern service industries. Both Guangxiang Pharmaceutical and Guolong Pharmaceutical have been recognized as specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative small and medium-sized enterprises and provincial demonstration enterprises in Hebei Province.
This year, we have adopted a steady and pragmatic approach, implementing multiple measures simultaneously, and ensuring that project construction has been both robust and well-organized. Fifteen new product industrialization and technological upgrade projects—including freeze-dried powder injections and emulsions—developed by the Group have been included in Hebei Province’s “Thousand Technological Upgrade Projects.” With support from business-friendly policies at all levels, key technological upgrade projects are accelerating their implementation and beginning to yield tangible results. Guangxiang Pharmaceutical and Guolong Pharmaceutical have tapped into their full potential through technological upgrades, stepping up efforts to optimize product processes and carry out comprehensive upgrades and renovations of equipment and environmental protection systems, thereby significantly enhancing their supply capacity and operational standards.
This year, we have firmly enforced responsibilities and strengthened control measures, resulting in a significant improvement in production quality. Faced with the stringent regulatory environment brought about by national centralized procurement and the ongoing pandemic, the Group launched an in-depth “Quality Month” campaign, comprehensively enhancing our ability to safeguard the market through superior quality. Both the Group’s and Guangxiang Pharmaceutical’s quality management practices were recognized as provincial-level quality benchmarks for industrial enterprises in 2021.
This year, we have strengthened our roots and cultivated our spirit, uniting hearts and pooling strengths, and the Party’s leadership has continued to grow stronger. In the series of thematic activities celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, we carried out in-depth “Red Inheritance Reflects Our Original Aspirations—Party Flags Fly at the Front Lines” publicity and education campaigns, inspiring Party members and employees with a sense of dedication to serving the Party, shouldering national responsibilities, and making outstanding contributions in their respective positions. These efforts have boosted our company’s efforts in tackling R&D challenges, market challenges, capacity expansion, and technological breakthroughs. On the eve of “July 1,” the Party Committee of Shijiazhuang No.4 Pharmaceutical was awarded the title of “Advanced Grassroots Party Organization” by the Shijiazhuang Municipal Committee of the CPC.
