On the afternoon of July 23, the Party Committee of the company convened an expanded Party Committee meeting to deploy the thematic education campaign on “Staying True to Our Original Aspiration and Keeping Our Mission Firmly in Mind.” Members of the Party Committee, members of the Discipline Inspection Commission, and secretaries of all branch Party organizations gathered together to study and deeply understand the important speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the conference on the thematic education campaign “Staying True to Our Original Aspiration and Keeping Our Mission Firmly in Mind.” The meeting also focused on thoroughly implementing General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions on strengthening Party building in non-public-owned enterprises, further enhancing the construction of model Party building sites in the non-public sector, and promoting the healthy development of enterprises. The meeting was chaired by Shi Jianhui, Secretary of the company’s Party Committee.

The meeting began by studying and conveying the important speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the work conference on the thematic education campaign “Staying True to Our Original Aspiration and Keeping Our Mission Firmly in Mind.” The meeting pointed out that this year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China and also the 70th year since our Party assumed power. Conducting the thematic education campaign “Staying True to Our Original Aspiration and Keeping Our Mission Firmly in Mind” at this pivotal moment is perfectly timely. Party organizations at all levels within the company and the vast number of Party members and cadres must study diligently, gain a deep understanding, and genuinely enhance both their ideological and practical awareness, thereby ensuring that the thematic education campaign is carried out thoroughly and effectively.

The meeting called on all Party members within the company to deeply understand the significant importance of this thematic education, carry forward the revolutionary traditions and fine work styles, and integrate the original aspirations and missions of Communist Party members with the company’s transformation and upgrading, high-quality development, and fulfillment of social responsibilities. We must uphold the spirit of struggle and a sense of responsibility, demonstrate new achievements in promoting the company’s high-quality development, achieve new breakthroughs in driving the conversion of old and new growth drivers, and unite and lead all employees to strive diligently to turn the grand blueprint outlined at the 19th National Congress of the CPC into a beautiful reality within our enterprise.

The meeting emphasized the need to firmly keep in mind the original aspiration and mission of Chinese Communists—to strive for the happiness of the Chinese people and the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. We must uphold a spirit of seeking truth from facts and being pragmatic, and follow the general requirements put forward by General Secretary Xi Jinping: "Stay true to our original aspiration, shoulder our mission, identify gaps, and ensure implementation." This will guarantee that all aspects of the thematic education are advanced in a solid, orderly, and high-quality manner with stringent standards. Specifically, for our enterprise, our "original aspiration" means firmly upholding the fundamental principle of serving the people wholeheartedly, actively working to improve the well-being of our employees, and fulfilling our social responsibilities through high-quality products, superior services, and concrete actions toward green pharmaceutical practices. To "shoulder our mission," we must bravely take on responsibilities, act proactively, maintain a fighting spirit, and with unwavering determination and selfless dedication, overcome all difficulties and obstacles on our path forward, thereby driving the enterprise’s innovative, green, and high-quality development. To "identify gaps," each Party member must compare themselves against Party discipline and rules, continuously strengthen their "four consciousnesses," firmly uphold their "four self-confidences," and resolutely practice the "two safeguards." They should benchmark themselves against advanced role models, identify their own shortcomings, hold themselves to the high standards expected of Party members, and constantly enhance their ideological style and work capabilities. To "ensure implementation," we must focus on promoting socio-economic development. In all our work, Party members must take the lead by setting exemplary standards and demonstrating proactive initiative, transforming our original aspirations and mission into the vigorous spirit of Party members and cadres—characterized by their eagerness to forge ahead and innovate—and into a conscious commitment to hard work and practical action. In this way, every Party member will become an integral part of strengthening the foundation upon which our Party rests its governance.

The meeting emphasized the need to continuously enhance our ideological awareness of the importance of Party building in non-public enterprises and to regard Party building as a solemn responsibility. The growth and development of non-public enterprises are inseparable from the leadership of the Party and from the guidance and safeguards provided by Party building work. In our enterprises, we must firmly uphold political principles in a clear and unequivocal manner as the primary prerequisite for promoting high-quality enterprise development. We must remain true to our original aspirations, keep our mission firmly in mind, strengthen our “four consciousnesses,” and firmly uphold our “four self-confidences.” We must resolutely safeguard and defend General Secretary Xi Jinping’s core status, and unswervingly uphold the authority and centralized, unified leadership of the Party Central Committee. We must grasp Party building in non-public enterprises firmly in our hands, keep it constantly at heart, and truly translate it into concrete actions. We must reinforce our sense of mission and responsibility, and lay a solid ideological foundation for achieving success and making progress. Combining Party building with enterprise management, scientific research and innovation, project construction, and market development, we must thoroughly implement the principal responsibility for Party building in practice, using a sound Party style to shape our image, win the hearts of the people, and drive development forward.

The meeting also discussed matters related to adjusting branch organizational structures and the proposed candidates for development in 2019.
