On March 5, Yang Jingxiang, Party Secretary and Director of the Hebei Provincial Bureau of Statistics, visited enterprises such as Shijiazhuang No.4 Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. to conduct research on economic performance and statistical work.
Yang Jingxiang conducted an on-site research visit to the company, listened to a briefing on its business operations, and asked in detail about the company’s personnel management, material supply, production and transportation, market demand, capacity recovery, and specific measures taken to effectively control and prevent the epidemic during the pandemic. He also inquired about the difficulties and challenges encountered in resuming work and production. In addition, he gained a deeper understanding of the company’s product R&D, production processes, and innovative achievements, and discussed and analyzed with the company’s leaders the extent to which the pandemic has impacted its business operations.
Yang Jingxiang pointed out that Shijiazhuang, as the provincial capital, holds a pivotal position within the entire province. At the beginning of this year, confronted with the sudden outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the people of Shijiazhuang, under the strong leadership of the municipal Party committee and the municipal government, fought day and night with unity and solidarity, pooling their efforts and going all out to resolutely win the battle against the epidemic. In doing so, they made outstanding contributions to the province’s concerted efforts to achieve “dual victories”—both in epidemic prevention and control and in economic and social development.
Yang Jingxiang stated that, over the years, the Shijiazhuang Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government have consistently attached great importance to and shown deep concern for statistical work, achieving remarkable results in this field. He expressed hope that Shijiazhuang will continue its efforts, remain at the forefront and set an example in areas such as modernizing statistical reforms, strengthening statistical oversight, improving data quality, and enhancing the level of statistical services. This will effectively provide robust statistical support for economic and social development, ensure a solid start to the 14th Five-Year Plan, and make greater contributions to fully building a strong economic province and a beautiful Hebei in the new era, thereby celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China with outstanding achievements.
During the research visit, Ma Yujun, Deputy Secretary of the Shijiazhuang Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, met with Director Yang Jingxiang and his delegation. He expressed gratitude for the Provincial Statistics Bureau’s long-term attention and support to Shijiazhuang’s economic and social development, and hoped that the Provincial Statistics Bureau would continue to provide guidance and assistance, enabling Shijiazhuang’s various undertakings to reach new heights.
Vice Mayor Gao Yuzhu of Shijiazhuang City, Zhou Lixin, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the High-tech Zone, Secretary-General Su Zhichao of the Municipal Government, Director Jin Fuzhong of the Municipal Bureau of Statistics, and relevant officials from the Municipal Bureau of Statistics accompanied the research visit. Leading officials from the Office, the Industrial Division, and the Investment Division of the Provincial Bureau of Statistics also participated in the visit.
