On December 15, Liu Mingxuan, Chairman of the Shijiazhuang Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), conducted an on-site research visit to the medical and health sector workstation located at Shijiazhuang No. 4 Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., and delivered a briefing on the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee to some members and staff from the medical and health sector. He emphasized that it is essential to study and publicize the new spirit, implement the new requirements, further step up our responsibilities and take proactive actions, unite hearts and minds, enhance the effectiveness of the CPPCC’s performance, and contribute wisdom and strength to the comprehensive construction of a modern provincial capital and a strong economic city. Yan Chunkai, Vice Chairman of the Shijiazhuang Municipal CPPCC, also attended the event.
During their visit to the medical and health sector workstation at Shijiazhuang Fourth Pharmaceutical in the Shijiazhuang High-tech Zone, Liu Mingxuan and his delegation first conducted a detailed on-site inspection of the workstation’s construction and the implementation of its activities. They then went deep into the Fourth Pharmaceutical Research Institute to carefully listen to a briefing on the company’s scientific research, development, and innovation progress. They fully affirmed the remarkable achievements the company has made during the 13th Five-Year Plan period and encouraged the enterprise to accelerate innovation-driven development and strive for even greater, higher-quality growth. Liu Mingxuan pointed out that sector workstations are an important platform and form through which CPPCC members participate in state governance, offer advice, and contribute policy recommendations. All CPPCC members should, based on practical realities and their respective expertise, actively put forward insightful and well-founded proposals for economic and social development and truly play their role as members effectively.
While delivering a briefing on the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, Liu Mingxuan pointed out that the city’s CPPCC system must deeply grasp the essential spirit and scientific implications of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech, fully understand the central government’s strategic arrangements and development priorities regarding the formulation of the 14th Five-Year Plan and the vision for 2035, and regard in-depth study and implementation of the spirits of the plenary sessions of the CPC Central Committee, provincial Party committees, and municipal Party committees as an important political task and responsibility for the current and coming period. It is crucial to effectively translate the outcomes of this study into new achievements in fulfilling our duties and responsibilities.
Liu Mingxuan called for harnessing the strengths of various sectors, pooling their collective wisdom, and submitting high-quality collective proposals that reflect high-level insights into social conditions and public opinion. He also urged exploring cross-sectoral collaborative consultations, strengthening resource sharing and leveraging complementary advantages among different sectors. It is essential to go deep into the grassroots and among the masses, actively promoting the remarkable achievements made during the 13th Five-Year Plan period and the ambitious vision outlined in the 14th Five-Year Plan, thereby rallying broader social consensus. We must integrate “serving the overall development strategy” with “doing our own jobs well,” keeping the goals of the 14th Five-Year Plan firmly in mind and grounding our efforts in our respective professional roles. We should proactively engage in the construction of various undertakings under the 14th Five-Year Plan, demonstrating a positive attitude of willingness to take responsibility, being adept at taking responsibility, and truly fulfilling our responsibilities, thus contributing effectively to ensuring a good start and steady progress for the 14th Five-Year Plan.
