At 6 p.m. on February 19, Shijiazhuang No.4 Pharmaceutical received an “Emergency Task Dispatch Order” from the Medical Supplies Guarantee Group of the National Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism for the Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia Epidemic, requesting that the company overcome all difficulties to deliver, in batches, 50,000 boxes of Abidol Hydrochloride Capsules (12 capsules per box) to Hubei Province by February 26.
Upon receiving the “Emergency Task Dispatch Order,” Qu Jiguang, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shisi Pharmaceutical Group, immediately stated that they would implement the task requirements to the letter and spare no effort in ensuring the supply of epidemic prevention materials for Hubei Province. Just after 9:00 a.m. on February 21, Li Ligong, the manager of the Storage and Transportation Department responsible for the transportation and logistics support mission for Shijiazhuang Fourth Pharmaceutical, received a call from driver Deng Junpo: “We’ve arrived at our destination and are now completing the inbound procedures. We’ll be ready to unload the cargo shortly—please rest assured.”
Abidol Hydrochloride capsules are Shijiazhuang No.4 Pharmaceutical’s flagship antiviral product. From January 25 to February 20, Shijiazhuang No.4 Pharmaceutical had cumulatively supplied Hubei Province with 2.1 million Abidol Hydrochloride capsules, including 1.7 million capsules for Wuhan.
