On the afternoon of February 14, Shijiazhuang No.4 Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. loaded and dispatched a shipment of 150,000 yuan worth of moxifloxacin hydrochloride sodium injection to the Shennongjia Forestry District in Hubei Province, which is providing counterpart support to Hebei Province. This marks the second batch of emergency medical supplies donated by Shijiazhuang No.4 Pharmaceutical to Hubei, following the company’s initial donation of 2 million yuan worth of moxifloxacin sodium injection to designated hospitals in Wuhan on January 25—the first day of the Lunar New Year.
On the evening of February 12, Shisi Pharmaceutical received a letter from the Hubei Shennongjia Forestry District Federation of Industry and Commerce, forwarded by the Hebei Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce, requesting support in the form of epidemic prevention and control supplies for COVID-19. Upon learning of the situation, Su Xuejun, Vice President of the Hebei Provincial Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of Shisi Pharmaceutical, immediately coordinated with both the provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce and the Shennongjia Forestry District Federation of Industry and Commerce to ascertain the specific needs.

The shipment has been loaded and dispatched.

After learning about the shortage of emergency medicines at the designated hospital in the forest area, he personally coordinated the transfer of moxifloxacin hydrochloride sodium injection—worth 150,000 yuan—from the reserve stock to donate to the Shennongjia Forest Area. At the same time, he also coordinated the provision of 2,000 boxes of arbidol capsules to the Provincial Zhongji Poverty Alleviation Foundation affiliated with the Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce for donation to the forest area.
To ensure that the emergency medicines reach the forest area as soon as possible and buy valuable time for treating patients, Shisi Pharmaceutical has also coordinated extensively with specialized courier companies to arrange dedicated transportation for this batch of donated rescue medicines. “Since the donated medicines are urgently needed injection products for the forest area, air express services cannot handle them, and several logistics providers cannot deliver directly to the forest region,” said Li Ligong, manager of the Storage and Transportation Department at Shisi Pharmaceutical, who is responsible for coordinating logistics support. “After making numerous contacts, the Shijiazhuang branch of China Post Express Logistics finally agreed to our request and offered to transport these donated supplies free of charge.”
It is understood that, in order to firmly implement the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee and the State Council and to provide full support for Hubei Province’s efforts in preventing and controlling COVID-19, the National Health Commission has pooled high-quality resources to establish an inter-provincial pairing assistance mechanism for medical treatment and care of COVID-19 patients in Hubei Province’s cities other than Wuhan. A total of 19 provinces have been coordinated to provide paired assistance to 16 cities, prefectures, and county-level cities in Hubei Province excluding Wuhan; among them, Hebei Province is providing assistance to the Shennongjia Forestry District.
It was introduced that the moxifloxacin hydrochloride sodium injection donated this time is a broad-spectrum quinolone antibiotic recently developed by Shisi Pharmaceutical, primarily used for emergency clinical treatment in hospital respiratory departments.
Su Xuejun stated, “Supporting epidemic prevention and control is a corporate social responsibility. Moving forward, we will continue to precisely align with clinical needs, further strengthen the supply and donation of emergency medications, and make our due contribution to comprehensively winning the battle against the epidemic.”
