"On January 27, the third day of the first lunar month, our shipment of 130,000 bottles of emergency medicines—supporting Wuhan’s frontline efforts to combat the epidemic—set off. Among them is 2 million yuan worth of moxifloxacin hydrochloride sodium injection, which will be donated to Wuhan’s key hospitals designated for treating pneumonia caused by the novel coronavirus infection. On January 25, relevant medical institutions and state-owned pharmaceutical enterprises in Wuhan City requested urgent assistance from Shijiazhuang Fourth Pharmaceutical in the form of emergency medications such as moxifloxacin hydrochloride sodium injection. Upon learning of this request, Qu Jiguang, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shijiazhuang Fourth Pharmaceutical Group, immediately stated that they would spare no expense to provide full support to Wuhan and would even allocate a portion of their products for priority donation to hospitals treating patients. At a critical moment like this, saving lives is paramount—there’s absolutely no time to delay.
Staff from marketing, R&D, finance, warehousing, and logistics worked closely together to ensure the smooth dispatch of urgently needed medicines. On the afternoon of January 27, three large container trucks—each loaded with 130,000 bottles of emergency medications including moxifloxacin hydrochloride sodium injection—as well as donated drugs worth 2 million yuan—rushed toward Wuhan.

Sun Lijie, Director of the Shijiazhuang No. 4 Pharmaceutical Research Institute, who is involved in providing technical support for the relief efforts, introduced that the moxifloxacin hydrochloride sodium injection donated this time is a newly developed broad-spectrum quinolone antibiotic, primarily intended for emergency clinical use in hospital respiratory departments. “This new product can make a crucial difference at critical moments, and we deeply feel the value of being pharmaceutical researchers. We will accelerate our efforts to develop more effective antiviral and antibacterial drugs, striving to improve public health and well-being.”
On January 27, vehicles loaded with emergency medicines to support Wuhan departed from the Shijiazhuang No. 4 Pharmaceutical factory and sped off to the front lines of Wuhan’s epidemic prevention and control efforts.
It is reported that on January 28, the batch of relief medicines donated by Shijiazhuang Fourth Pharmaceutical had arrived at the designated destination in Wuhan and been distributed to medical institutions as required. “In the next step, we will continue to precisely align with clinical needs, further strengthen the supply and donation of emergency medicines, and make our due contribution as employees of Shijiazhuang Fourth Pharmaceutical to fully win the battle against the epidemic,” said Wu Hengyao, General Manager of Shijiazhuang Fourth Pharmaceutical.
