On the occasion of the “119” Fire Safety Publicity Day, the company, in collaboration with Fire Station No. 8, organized a fire drill themed “Understanding Fires and Learning How to Escape.” The purpose of this fire drill is to further enhance all employees’ awareness and mastery of fire safety skills, enable them to acquire practical knowledge and techniques for evacuation during real-life emergencies, and strengthen their ability to prevent and self-rescue. Nearly 200 employees participated in the live-fire drill.
General Manager Su Xuejun attached great importance to this drill and instructed the Safety Department to make thorough preparations for its organization and support in advance. After the drill concluded, he conducted a summary and provided feedback, putting forward three specific requirements: First, the company should conduct such activities annually to enhance employees’ fire safety awareness and improve their ability to handle initial-stage fires; second, “we must prioritize risk management over hazard identification”—in addition to identifying potential hazards, everyone must be able to recognize risks, understand the corresponding control measures, and adhere to the “four no-harm” principle, ensuring that safety is truly implemented at the frontline work teams; third, each employee should become a fire safety promoter, taking advantage of their respective positions to disseminate fire safety knowledge and skills, thereby fostering an excellent safety culture.
