Recently, the employee innovation studio—led by He Yazhuo, a company innovator—and integrating training, skill development, enhancement, and problem-solving—underwent an inspection by the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions. The leaders of the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions highly praised the progress made in establishing the “He Yazhuo Innovation Studio” and recently designated it as the eighth batch of Shijiazhuang City Employee Innovation Studios. Since 2016, taking the establishment of the “He Yazhuo Innovation Studio” as an opportunity, the company has actively explored and built a mass-based innovation platform, deeply engaged in mass innovation activities, and achieved remarkable results. To date, the “He Yazhuo Innovation Studio” has attracted the active participation of 21 innovation enthusiasts, bringing together skilled craftsmen from the production frontline as well as “little Zhuge Liangs”—individuals who are adept at research, problem-solving, and tackling tough challenges. By pooling everyone’s collective wisdom and expertise, the studio has carried out technical exchanges, tackled critical technical problems, promoted technological innovations, and implemented process improvements, thereby helping workshops overcome bottlenecks and obstacles in production processes and technological procedures. As a result, the studio has continuously produced new technological achievements, which have been widely applied in safe production practices.

The Innovation Studio not only conducts innovative activities from a technical standpoint but also integrates these innovations into production management and construction, ultimately maximizing their effectiveness. Centered on innovation itself, the studio uses project-based research and application as its vehicle. Through a collaborative approach—where one person identifies a problem and many others work together to solve it—the studio imparts job-specific knowledge, shares innovative experiences, and fosters mutual cooperation, enabling everyone to make collective progress and continuously improve. “There’s inevitably some deviation between product design and actual operations, but these seemingly minor details cannot be overlooked. Behind every tiny improvement lies the potential for tremendous value.” He Yazhuo, who has worked at Siyao for 12 years, deeply understands the importance of process rationality. Since the establishment of the Innovation Studio, He Yazhuo has consistently prioritized innovation and improvement, making the enhancement of product process rationality his guiding principle. To date, the studio has generated 294 innovative achievements, including four national invention patents and 13 innovations promoted internally within the company. These innovations have directly generated economic benefits totaling 5.2769 million yuan, and through equipment and technology improvements, they have significantly reduced workers’ physical labor intensity.

Carrying out mass-based economic and technological innovation activities is an effective way to boost employees’ enthusiasm and creativity—and, more importantly, it’s a “golden key” for ensuring the survival and sustainable development of our enterprise. Today at Siyao, employee innovation has become a widespread and thriving practice, yielding abundant achievements. The success we’ve attained would not have been possible without the Employee Innovation Studios initiated by the trade union, which have provided an expansive platform for outstanding employees to grow and excel. Every employee is now a protagonist, fully empowered to showcase their talents and wisdom—a hallmark brand that has become synonymous with our company’s trade union.

“To further enhance the reputation of this distinctive brand, we’ve introduced a series of systems aimed at accelerating employees’ innovative efforts,” said a relevant official from the company’s trade union. “The innovation studios hold centralized activities once every quarter, engaging in initiatives such as management and service innovation, technological problem-solving, technological innovation, and skills training. We encourage the studios to organize study and exchange sessions and actively involve young employees, helping them improve their overall competence through methods like apprenticeship and mentorship.”

For a long time, the company’s trade union has been committed to building a strong workforce. Relying on innovation studios as a platform, it has undertaken initiatives such as rationalization proposal programs, mentor-apprentice training, skills competitions, and innovation exchange activities. These efforts have effectively promoted the integration of enterprise innovation resources and the exploration of innovative mechanisms, yielding remarkable achievements in the company’s mass innovation efforts and the development of skilled artisan talent.
