On June 21, the highly anticipated “2019 China Pharmaceutical R&D Strength Ranking” (including the overall ranking, the chemical drug ranking, the traditional Chinese medicine ranking, and the biopharmaceutical ranking), as well as the “Top 20 Chinese CROs of 2019,” were released. Thanks to its robust capabilities in pharmaceutical R&D and technological innovation, the company was ranked among the “Top 50 Chinese Pharmaceutical R&D Companies of 2019,” placing 46th. Meanwhile, owing to its outstanding expertise in the development of high-end generic drugs and innovative chemical medicines, the company also secured the 35th position on the “Top 100 Chinese Chemical Drug R&D Companies Ranking.”

It is reported that this ranking event is jointly organized by Yaozhi.com, Xinhua Health Think Tank, Southwest University, Chongqing Institute of Chinese Materia Medica, and Chongqing Medical Insurance Research Association. The ranking is calculated based on a weighted combination of data including pharmaceutical companies’ drug application approval status in 2018, R&D investment expenditures in 2018, the “Office of the National Development and Reform Commission’s Announcement on the Evaluation Results of National Enterprise Technology Centers for 2018-2019,” and brand performance.
