On May 11, the sodium acetate Ringer’s injection (500 ml), submitted by Shijiazhuang Fourth Pharmaceutical Group, received approval from the National Medical Products Administration and passed the evaluation of consistency in quality and efficacy for generic drugs. This is the group’s 25th new product approved so far this year.

It is reported that Sodium Acetate Ringer’s Injection is primarily used to replenish body fluids, regulate electrolyte balance, and correct metabolic acidosis when circulating blood volume is reduced.
As of now, Shijiazhuang Four Pharmaceutical has had 46 varieties and 60 specifications pass the evaluation of generic drug quality and therapeutic equivalence (or be deemed to have passed such an evaluation).
