Shi Si Yao: Widely opening channels to attract “phoenixes” to come.
The market is like water, enterprises are like boats, and talent is like the rudder. For Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., which is committed to driving high-quality development through innovation and designated 2019 as the “Year of Technological Innovation,” the demand for talented individuals is especially urgent. Right now, the company is actively opening up various channels and fostering multi-faceted collaborations to attract outstanding talents from all walks of life to join its ranks.
“The company is experiencing robust growth in both production and sales, and with the launch of new products, we’re facing increased demand for production capacity and additional staff. Right now, our production lines are highly advanced, and our employees mainly assist in operating the equipment. Typically, shifts alternate between day and mid-shifts, with no night shifts. We provide shuttle buses for commuting, a staff cafeteria for meals, free accommodation and on-site showers, as well as meal allowances and transportation subsidies. The probation period lasts three months, and once hired, employees will be covered by six types of insurance—including accidental injury insurance—and receive a housing fund…” Around 11:00 a.m. on March 6, in the sixth conference room of the Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical office building, Yuan Bingqiang, head of the Human Resources Department, was interviewing several newly hired frontline employees. After briefly introducing the company’s basic information, he began conducting individual interviews one by one. He told reporters that since after the Spring Festival, he’d been busy recruiting talent for the company. They’ve already participated in more than ten recruitment fairs—large and small—and have been continuously conducting interviews and training new employees. With university recruitment scheduled to kick off in March and April, they’re actively preparing for it now.
The outdoor sunshine is bright and warm, casting a gentle glow that makes the already spacious Foreign Trade Department of Shijiazhuang Fourth Pharmaceutical even brighter and more comfortable. Shang Yancai—who joined the company as an intern just over half a month ago (graduated from university in 2017 with a major in International Trade plus English, and is one of the company’s newly recruited internationally certified talents)—and Jun Ruoyao (graduated from university in 2018, specializing in International Trade) are busy organizing the international registration documents for the company’s products. “There’s a lot of specialized terminology to translate, so we’re looking it up as we go along and learning from our mentors, striving to get familiar with the company’s business as quickly as possible,” they said, eagerly opening their computer files to show the reporter their “achievements” over the past few weeks. They told the reporter that the company provides excellent accommodation: underfloor heating in winter, air conditioning in summer, as well as a dedicated laundry room, reading area, and sports and leisure zone. Most importantly, they feel completely safe here, which puts their families at ease. Although they’ve only been with the company for a short time, they can already sense the company’s positive cultural atmosphere, its care for employees, and its ample opportunities for career development. The colleagues are also very easy to get along with, and they absolutely love working here.
“I’m a senior now and will graduate in June. I’m thrilled to have been hired here—everything about this place is great. My mentor is incredibly warm and dedicated, and I’m determined to learn hard and, after completing my internship, hope to secure a full-time position here.” Cui Shang, a lovely young woman from Xingtai College, has only been with the company for a week and is currently undergoing rotational on-the-job training. Her words reveal both curiosity and genuine fondness for the company.
“In recent years, our company has been steadily undergoing transformation and upgrading while fostering innovative development, and its growth momentum has been exceptionally strong. This year, in addition to the new production lines set to go into operation, our newly built R&D building will also become operational. We are urgently in need of a large number of talented individuals from various fields—especially high-caliber professionals who can take on significant responsibilities,” said Wang Chunfa, Deputy General Manager of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical, who is in charge of human resources. He added that the implementation of our city’s series of talent policies has greatly facilitated the company’s ability to attract and retain top talent. The company has consistently taken proactive steps to assist eligible employees, refining its incentive-based skill-based compensation system and employee career-development framework, and striving to provide an excellent environment and robust development platforms for talented individuals. Moving forward, we will continue to broaden our recruitment channels, strengthen cooperation with universities, and intensify corporate promotion efforts, aiming to attract and retain even more outstanding talents and provide the human resource support needed for our company’s innovation-driven, green, and high-quality development.
