Recently, the Hebei Provincial Department of Science and Technology announced the list of provincial international science and technology cooperation bases for 2023. Thirty institutions were designated as provincial-level international science and technology cooperation bases, among which Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. was selected as a provincial demonstration enterprise for international science and technology cooperation.

Shijiazhuang No.4 Pharmaceutical has been selected as a provincial demonstration enterprise for international scientific and technological cooperation, marking positive progress in the company’s innovation and internationalization efforts. In recent years, Shijiazhuang No.4 Pharmaceutical has aligned its innovation chain with the industrial chain, actively promoting the implementation of a “formulation + active pharmaceutical ingredient” development strategy. By strengthening collaboration with overseas research institutions, the company has accelerated the development of new formulations, specialty formulations, and innovative drugs, significantly enhancing its level of innovation and internationalization. In recent years, Hebei Province has taken strengthening the construction of international science and technology cooperation platforms as a key driver to significantly enhance the province’s level of open innovation and its capacity to connect with global innovation resources. Closely focusing on the work objectives of “building platforms, expanding channels, pooling resources, and enhancing capabilities,” Hebei Province has guided parks, enterprises, universities, research institutions, and other entities to broaden their channels for international cooperation, deepen international scientific and technological collaboration and exchanges, and consistently pursue both “attracting in” and “going out.” As a result, Hebei Province has played a positive role as a model and leader within its region and industry, effectively boosting its capacity for scientific and technological innovation and its international competitiveness.
It is reported that the newly recognized provincial-level international science and technology cooperation bases include 12 international joint research centers (including 1 overseas center), 2 international technology transfer centers, and 16 demonstration enterprises for international science and technology cooperation. As of now, Hebei Province has established a total of 291 international science and technology cooperation bases at or above the provincial level, placing it among the top provinces nationwide in terms of quantity. The cooperating countries encompass more than 20 European and American nations as well as Belt and Road Initiative countries, including Germany, the United Kingdom, Japan, and others. The areas of cooperation span over 10 technological fields, such as advanced manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and healthcare, biotechnology, and new materials. The newly recognized provincial-level international science and technology cooperation bases further expand the scale of Hebei Province’s international science and technology cooperation network.
