On October 23, the third-quarter summary and commendation meeting for R&D innovation of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group was held in the conference hall of the R&D Center. At the meeting, while systematically summarizing the achievements made in R&D innovation over the past nine months—especially since the third quarter—participants also conducted another round of mobilization and deployment to sprint through the fourth quarter and ensure the high-quality completion of the year’s research and development tasks. Group leaders Qu Jiguang, Shi Jianhui, Li Weimin, Meng Guo, Sun Lijie, Tian Pengmei, and Song Mingxia attended the meeting. Wang Lijiang, Executive Deputy General Manager of the R&D Center, presided over the meeting.

With renewed vigor and determination, we set sail once more and embark on a new journey with unwavering commitment. At this critical juncture as we sprint toward achieving our annual goals, the third-quarter summary and recognition conference for R&D innovation of Shijiazhuang No.4 Pharmaceutical Group was held on October 23 in the auditorium of the R&D Center. The conference not only systematically summarized the achievements made in R&D innovation over the past nine months—especially since the third quarter—but also re-mobilized and re-deployed efforts to ensure high-quality completion of our year-end R&D tasks during the fourth quarter. Group leaders Qu Jiguang, Shi Jianhui, Li Weimin, Meng Guo, Sun Lijie, Tian Pengmei, and Song Mingxia attended the meeting. Wang Lijiang, Executive Deputy General Manager of the R&D Center, presided over the conference.

At the meeting, heads of various departments within the R&D Center reported on the progress and achievements made in key project R&D and innovation over the first nine months of this year, and proposed measures to ensure the successful completion of the annual goals and tasks. Sun Lijie, Group Executive President and General Manager of the R&D Center, delivered a statement.

Since the beginning of this year, the Group has been driven by innovation, aligning its industrial chain with the innovation chain. Through systematic benchmarking and coordinated promotion, we have stepped up R&D and innovation efforts in generic drugs, innovative drugs, specialty APIs, pharmaceutical packaging materials, and products that have undergone consistency evaluations. Leveraging a series of national, provincial, and municipal policies and initiatives supporting the development of the biopharmaceutical industry, we have continuously increased our investment in scientific research, boldly tackled key technologies that have long been bottlenecks, and powerfully accelerated the transformation of our product structure—from a single dominant sector to diversified development, moving steadily toward the high-end of the value chain.

Continuous technological innovation has enabled the Group’s R&D achievements to accumulate steadily and yield remarkable results. Since the beginning of this year, the Group has obtained 35 product approvals of various types, including 26 formulation approvals—more than the total number approved over the previous decade. Among these, azithromycin dry suspension, bupropion tablets, peritoneal dialysis solution (lactate-G1.5%), and pentoxifylline injection were the first-ever approvals granted to domestic pharmaceutical companies. The Group has also submitted 84 product applications to the national authorities. To date, a cumulative total of 31 drug varieties and 41 specifications have either passed or been deemed to have passed the National Generic Drug Quality and Efficacy Consistency Evaluation. The Group’s efficiency and volume in developing specialty generic drugs rank among the top in China’s pharmaceutical industry, and its innovative approach powerfully empowers the company to enhance quality and boost efficiency.

The meeting announced and commended the outstanding individuals and teams that made remarkable contributions to the R&D center’s scientific research and innovation efforts during the third quarter. Qu Jiguang, Shi Jianhui, and Song Mingxia presented certificates (trophies) and cash awards to the recognized individuals and teams.

Qu Jiguang, Chairman of the Group’s Board of Directors, on behalf of the Group’s Board of Directors and leadership team, extended warm congratulations to the advanced R&D teams and individuals who have been recognized and rewarded. He said that these achievements are inspiring and uplifting, deeply reminding everyone in the Group that Sihua’s R&D endeavors are accelerating and marking a historic shift—from “following” to “running alongside.” They also profoundly feel the confidence that innovation—built up over time—brings to the company as it boldly forges ahead.

Firmly cultivate confidence in development, work diligently and assiduously, and steadfastly focus on doing our own job well, striving for self-reliance and strength in scientific research. He expressed earnest hopes to the vast number of scientific researchers: First, we must avoid arrogance and impatience, maintain a correct mindset, recognize our shortcomings, benchmark against advanced models, work hard with perseverance, and strive for even greater achievements. Second, in building confidence in development, we should draw strength from innovation and identify clear directions for our efforts. We should view R&D and innovation through the lenses of market awareness, developmental perspective, industrialization orientation, and international vision; make the first move in technological innovation, and continue writing new chapters of innovative development. Third, we must consolidate the foundations of scientific research, elevate the level of R&D, achieve new breakthroughs in accelerating the study of innovative drugs, and actively seize the commanding heights of industrial development. Fourth, we should explore new mechanisms and initiatives in deepening reforms of scientific research management. Fifth, we should attain new results in speeding up the efficiency of transforming R&D outcomes into practical applications. Sixth, we must take innovation as our guiding principle and promote collaborative development. While strengthening innovation in key technologies and products, we should comprehensively advance innovations in quality and technology management, production organization efficiency, and sales management, working together to propel the group’s transformation and high-quality development to new heights and achieve new leaps forward.

The journey ahead is long and arduous—only through relentless struggle can we succeed. The 20th National Congress of the Party, which has just concluded in victory, has drawn up a new blueprint for national rejuvenation and further clarified the direction for innovative development. He warmly encouraged all R&D personnel to set off once again with high spirits, maintaining an unrelenting attitude and adopting an unwavering, forward-looking spirit of struggle. Remembering that empty talk harms the country while practical action strengthens it, they should remain firmly confident, unite in solidarity and shared purpose, roll up their sleeves and work hard, and forge ahead undeterred through thick and thin. In growing and progressing together with enterprises, they will realize their life’s true value and secure a bright future.
