On August 4, the 2018 (35th) National Pharmaceutical Industry Information Annual Conference, hosted by the China Pharmaceutical Industry Information Center, opened in Shanghai. The conference solemnly released the highly anticipated 2017 Top 100 Chinese Pharmaceutical Companies list, and our company was proudly listed among the top 100. Additionally, we were honored with the title of “2018 China’s Most Promising Pharmaceutical Company.”
On August 4, the 2018 (35th) National Pharmaceutical Industry Information Annual Conference, hosted by the China Pharmaceutical Industry Information Center, opened in Shanghai. During the conference, the highly anticipated list of China’s Top 100 Pharmaceutical Companies for 2017 was officially released. Our company was honored to be included on the Top 100 list and was also awarded the title of “2018 China’s Most Promising Pharmaceutical Company.” Mr. Su Xuejun, General Manager of the company, and Ms. Han Shuqin, Deputy General Manager, took to the stage one after another to accept the awards—the “2017 China’s Top 100 Pharmaceutical Companies” plaque and the “2018 China’s Most Promising Pharmaceutical Company” plaque—on behalf of the company.
This year’s annual conference is themed “Innovation & Intelligence: Empowering a New Ecosystem.” Nearly 2,000 participants attended the conference, including officials from the National Health Commission, the National Healthcare Security Administration, and the National Medical Products Administration, as well as personnel from the industrial and information technology authorities of various provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the central government, academicians and experts from the pharmaceutical industry, representatives from industry associations, and business leaders.
It is reported that the “Top 100 Chinese Pharmaceutical Industry Enterprises List,” released by the China Pharmaceutical Industry Information Center under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, enjoys great credibility and authority within the industry. The companies listed on this ranking are among China’s most powerful enterprises, representing the highest level of development in the domestic pharmaceutical industry. The evaluation data used for this ranking are primarily sourced from the “China Pharmaceutical Statistics Annual Report,” the “China New Drug R&D and Testing Database,” and the “Comprehensive Drug Database.” The evaluation criteria are applied at both the drug and enterprise levels. At the drug level, the evaluation criteria mainly include dimensions such as innovation, strategic positioning, growth, competitiveness, and market standing; while at the enterprise level, the evaluation criteria encompass dimensions including uniqueness, leadership, overlap, dependency, and scale. The release of the Top 100 list not only sets a development benchmark for China’s pharmaceutical industry but also provides an authoritative and objective perspective for examining the current landscape, industrial structure, and development trends of the pharmaceutical sector. According to data analysis, as the scale of China’s pharmaceutical industry continues to expand, the entry threshold for the Top 100 enterprises has been rising year after year. In 2017, the minimum threshold for being included in the Top 100 list increased from 2.4 billion yuan in 2016 to 2.56 billion yuan in terms of main business revenue.
During the conference, events such as the “Forum on Opportunities and Challenges in Industrial Development: Leaders from Top 100 Enterprises Share Insights” were also held. Su Xuejun, General Manager of the company, was invited to participate in the forum. At the forum, he discussed the crises facing pharmaceutical marketing, how pharmaceutical marketing can return to its core essence, how enterprises can address the financial and tax risks associated with the “two-invoice system,” and innovative models and approaches adopted by their respective companies in pharmaceutical marketing. He also put forward policy recommendations aimed at promoting the sustained and healthy development of the pharmaceutical industry.
