To mark this milestone, the School of Chemistry at Nankai University has specially invited representatives from more than 50 high-quality alumni enterprises and outstanding companies in the biochemical, environmental, materials, and pharmaceutical sectors—along with over a thousand job opportunities—to join us in this grand celebration and attract top talent.

In the golden autumn of October, the School of Chemistry at Nankai University will celebrate the 100th anniversary of its founding. To mark this milestone, the School of Chemistry at Nankai University has specially invited over 50 prestigious alumni enterprises and outstanding representatives from industries related to biochemistry, environmental science, materials science, and pharmaceuticals—along with more than a thousand job opportunities—to join this grand celebration and attract top talent. Shijiazhuang Fourth Pharmaceutical Group will be invited to participate in the alumni-focused dual-recruitment fair for the 100th anniversary of Nankai’s chemistry program, scheduled for October 15. This event will provide Nankai students—with their unwavering commitment to serving the country—to a vibrant platform where they can showcase their talents and advance their careers.

Nankai University’s Department of Chemistry boasts a long and illustrious history, tracing its origins back to the Department of Chemistry established at the founding of Nankai University in 1919. Over the past century, it has remained vibrant and full of promise. Currently, the College of Chemistry comprises two departments (the Department of Chemistry and the Department of Chemical Biology), three research institutes (the Institute of Elemental Organic Chemistry, the Institute of Polymer Chemistry, and the Institute of Applied Chemistry and Engineering), and two research centers (the Center for Analytical Science and the National Engineering Research Center for Agrochemicals). The chemistry discipline has been included in the list of “Double First-Class” construction disciplines. The college has established a comprehensive disciplinary framework, assembled a faculty team that attracts top talent, and built high-level teaching and research platforms, making it an influential center for chemical education and research both domestically and internationally. Each year, it trains over a thousand specialized professionals—undergraduates, master’s students, and doctoral candidates—for the nation and society.

In recent years, Shijiazhuang Fourth Pharmaceutical Group has pursued high-quality enterprise development driven by innovation. It has successively been approved to establish high-end R&D and innovation platforms such as a nationally recognized Enterprise Technology Center and a National-Local Joint Engineering Laboratory. The company has also joined forces with renowned universities—including China Pharmaceutical University, Tianjin University, Zhejiang University, Zhengzhou University, and Hebei University—to carry out innovative drug research. The company has now reached a new height among China’s top 100 pharmaceutical manufacturers and has become a national demonstration enterprise for technological innovation.
