On September 15, Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group held a handover ceremony to equip the first batch of 66 mobility aids for its R&D core personnel, assigning these 66 mobility aids to the heads of R&D projects and key scientific researchers.
“It’s truly exciting that the company has provided us R&D personnel with company cars!” On September 15, at the handover ceremony held by Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group to equip its top R&D staff with the first batch of 66 vehicles, the atmosphere was vibrant and enthusiastic. Liu Yali, head of clinical projects at the Group’s Research Institute, and her colleagues couldn’t hide their joy. As they gazed at the neatly lined-up sedans in the plaza in front of the company’s R&D building, their eyes were filled with anticipation and pride.
It is reported that Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group has initially equipped 66 mobility aids for the heads of R&D projects and key research personnel, and more mobility aids will be provided to innovative scientific researchers in the future.
The key to innovation lies solely in attracting the right people. Over the past two years, R&D personnel—charged with the critical mission of strengthening the company through technology—have become highly sought-after at Shijiazhuang No.4 Pharmaceutical: not only do they enjoy a first-class research environment and a beautifully designed, humanistic office setting, but they also receive salaries that rank among the highest in the pharmaceutical industry. Moreover, the company has even built “Expert Apartments” to alleviate housing concerns for its tech professionals... Now, the company has thoughtfully addressed another crucial aspect—their “mobility”—providing each R&D employee with a personal transportation vehicle. The company is going to great lengths to ensure that its talented individuals can work with peace of mind, comfort, and satisfaction, thereby greatly boosting their enthusiasm and motivation to dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to scientific research and development.
“As a researcher at Siyao, I feel truly fortunate!” Liu Yali said excitedly after receiving the keys to her new car. “To enable us to devote ourselves wholeheartedly to scientific research and innovation, the company has not only improved our working environment and enhanced our compensation and benefits, but also provided us with preferential housing policies and equipped us with company-provided transportation for work. I’ll cherish the platform the company has created for us and the excellent conditions it offers—rooting myself firmly in the forefront of innovation, weathering challenges, honing my skills, strengthening my will, and using both sweat and wisdom to achieve scientific breakthroughs that live up to both the company and our times.”
“Our incentives for scientific researchers are unprecedented!” Qu Jiguang, Chairman of the Board of Shijiazhuang Fourth Pharmaceutical Group, told reporters, “Innovation-driven development is, in essence, talent-driven. Only by implementing a talent-priority development strategy can we transform our talent advantages into competitive advantages for the company’s innovative growth. All that our company is doing is aimed at fostering a favorable ecosystem for talent and innovation—drawing on top talents from around the world and providing them with greater space and broader platforms to showcase their talents. This allows our R&D personnel to devote themselves wholeheartedly to scientific research and innovation without any distractions, thus making significant contributions to promoting the company’s high-quality development.”
The incentive measures have powerfully propelled the high-quality development of R&D and innovation within the company. In recent years, Shijiazhuang Fourth Pharmaceutical has successively been approved to establish high-end R&D and innovation platforms such as the National Enterprise Technology Center and the National-Local Joint Engineering Laboratory. Additionally, the company has jointly set up closely-knit drug research and innovation centers with universities including China Pharmaceutical University, Tianjin University, Zhejiang University, and Hebei University. Focusing on diverse therapeutic areas—including oncology, respiratory system, digestive and metabolic systems, nervous system, cardiovascular system, and anti-infective treatments—the company has created an innovative ecosystem that synergistically develops generic drugs, innovative drugs, active pharmaceutical ingredients, and pharmaceutical packaging materials. As a result, the company’s scientific research and innovation efforts have entered a “highway” of scientific rigor, institutionalization, and standardization, enabling it to successfully rank among the top 30 Chinese industrial enterprises in terms of pharmaceutical R&D product lines and among the top 50 Chinese enterprises in overall pharmaceutical R&D capabilities. This continuous progress has helped the company ascend to new heights within the top 100 Chinese pharmaceutical manufacturers and earn its place among the nation’s demonstration enterprises for technological innovation. Currently, the group has more than 200 products under development, including five Class I new drugs, over ten domestically first-to-market generic drugs, and no fewer than 50 distinctive API varieties. A total of 16 varieties and 21 specifications have either passed or are deemed equivalent to passing the consistency evaluation. Moreover, there are over 60 new products awaiting approval from national authorities, and the company expects to obtain approvals for more than two new products each month on average. These impressive “figures” have drawn widespread attention and admiration from industry insiders, as new products continue to inject fresh momentum into the sustained growth of Shijiazhuang Fourth Pharmaceutical.
“Currently, more than 80% of Shijiazhuang Fourth Pharmaceutical’s profits are generated by new products or next-generation products. Innovation has powerfully driven the company’s ‘transformation.’ From January to August this year, both sales revenue and profit & tax have shown double-digit growth.” Qu Jiguang said with great confidence, “We’re seizing the rare opportunity presented by our province and Shijiazhuang to support the development of the biopharmaceutical industry, and we’re determined to make every effort to help Shijiazhuang’s biopharmaceutical sector achieve a breakthrough ahead of others.”
