On August 25, the active pharmaceutical ingredient buntanazin, submitted by Hebei Guolong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group, received approval from the National Medical Products Administration and can now be officially used in marketed formulations. This marks the first domestically approved API of this type.

It is understood that blonanserin is a novel antipsychotic drug that can help alleviate the symptoms of schizophrenia and mitigate cognitive impairments in patients with schizophrenia. It has fewer side-effect reactions compared to other antipsychotic drugs currently available.
