Recently, Shisi Pharmaceutical Group Hebei Guangxiang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. was recognized by the Cangzhou Science and Technology Bureau as the Cangzhou Fluid-Form Raw Material Drug Technology Innovation Center.

Recently, Shisi Pharmaceutical Group’s Hebei Guangxiang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. was recognized by the Cangzhou Science and Technology Bureau as the Cangzhou Fluid-Phase Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient Technology Innovation Center. This marks another innovation-driven platform established by the company, following its earlier recognition in 2020 as a provincial industrial enterprise R&D institution, a postdoctoral research workstation, and a provincial-level microreactor continuous synthesis API engineering research center.

Guangxiang Pharmaceutical is a large-scale domestic API industrial base established in the Bohai New Area through an investment by Shisi Pharmaceutical Group, leveraging the opportunities presented by the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and implementing a “one body, two wings” development strategy. The base is strategically positioned at the upstream end of the pharmaceutical industry chain and is built upon a foundation of bulk APIs such as caffeine, metronidazole, theophylline, aminophylline, and nifedipine, while also accommodating the production, R&D, and export of dozens of high-value-added specialty APIs—including abidor, pentoxifylline, rosuvastatin calcium, and pitavastatin calcium.
Since the commencement of construction of the Guangxiang Pharmaceutical Project by Shisi Pharmaceutical Group in October 2017, leveraging the group’s strong R&D and innovation capabilities, we have focused our research efforts on the independent development of specialty and high-end active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), as well as on key technological innovations in API synthesis. We are continuously accelerating the pace of developing new APIs combined with finished dosage forms and further innovating API synthesis technologies. At the same time, we are committed to raising quality standards, reducing consumption of materials, energy, and environmental resources, and supporting the company’s innovative, green, and high-quality development.

The “Cangzhou Fluid-Phase Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient Technology Innovation Center” being established this time primarily leverages microchannel reaction technology to intensify the key steps in existing conventional batch synthesis routes, adopting continuous-flow reactions to enable the industrialization of green chemistry, enhance reaction efficiency, and reduce production costs. At the same time, by utilizing the platform of the Technology Innovation Center, we are actively collaborating with numerous domestic research institutes and universities to establish joint R&D institutions, accelerate the cultivation of high-level innovative talent, promote technological exchanges, and continuously enhance our capacity and level of independent innovation.
It is reported that, in order to implement the “Three-Year Action Plan for Science and Technology Innovation of Cangzhou City” and in accordance with the “Management Measures for the Construction and Administration of Technology Innovation Centers in Cangzhou City,” the Cangzhou Science and Technology Bureau organized the 2020 municipal-level technology innovation center designation process. After undergoing procedures including preliminary review, expert evaluation, deliberation by the Director’s Office Meeting, and public announcement, a total of 27 entities—including the “Cangzhou City Fluid-Phase Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient Technology Innovation Center” established by Shisi Pharmaceutical Group Hebei Guangxiang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.—have been newly designated as municipal-level technology innovation centers in Cangzhou City.

In accordance with the relevant requirements of the “Construction and Management Measures for Technological Innovation Centers in Cangzhou City,” all construction units shall carry out the construction and management of technological innovation centers, proactively accept supervision and assessment by the competent authorities, increase R&D investment, actively engage in the research, development, and commercialization of new technologies and new products, cultivate and attract innovative talents and teams, and provide technical support for the innovative development of enterprises and industries.
