On November 6, the finals of the first National-Level New Area Economic Development Zone and High-Tech Zone Team Leader Management Skills Competition—co-organized by the China Development Zone Association and the Board of Directors of the National Forum for Trade Union Work in New Area Development Zones—were held in the Wenzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone. The Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical team, consisting of Fu Zhihui from Workshop 208 of the Group’s Manufacturing Center, Da Weiqiang and Fan Yanlong from the R&D Center, and Zhang Wenya from the Property Management Center, successfully advanced to the finals and went on to win the first-place team award. Additionally, Da Weiqiang from the R&D Center and Fu Zhihui from Workshop 208 of the Manufacturing Center each received second-place individual awards; Zhang Wenya from the Property Management Center won third place individually, while Fan Yanlong from the R&D Center was awarded an outstanding individual prize.

This competition aims to cultivate a high-quality, versatile team of shift leaders who are proficient in production, skilled in management, and knowledgeable about business operations. It focuses on enhancing the comprehensive skills and on-site management capabilities of shift leaders within enterprises located in national-level new development zones, economic development zones, and high-tech zones, thereby nurturing and developing a group of outstanding, elite shift leaders. This initiative seeks to strengthen the foundational management of enterprise work teams and support the high-quality development of these national-level new development zones, economic development zones, and high-tech zones.
On August 25 this year, the competition held its launch ceremony in the Zhengzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone. The competition uses competitions to promote training and employs competitions as a substitute for formal training. It consists of three stages: an online preliminary round, a re-examination round, and an offline final round. A total of 46 development zones, over 800 enterprises, and more than 10,000 team leaders participated in the competition. Over the course of just over two months, participating employees devoted their spare time to carefully studying reference materials, attending both online and offline training sessions, tackling challenges on the platform, and taking two rounds of online exams—first qualifying for the re-examination and then advancing from the re-examination to the final round. The group’s trade union attaches great importance to this initiative and actively encourages team leaders to participate in the skills competition. The event has received a warm response from all workshops and departments, with over 100 team leaders signing up to compete. After nearly two months of online competitions, four employees—Fu Zhihui, Da Weiqiang, Fan Yanlong, and Zhang Wenya—have successfully advanced to the finals.
It is understood that this competition marks the first nationwide event aimed at enhancing the professional management skills of team leaders in the three pilot zones. Leveraging the online advantages of the internet, the competition places particular emphasis on the learning and growth of participants throughout the entire event. Through video lectures and interactive quizzes testing theoretical knowledge, team leaders have systematically acquired essential job-management skills. This competition focuses squarely on the “team,” the most fundamental unit of enterprise management, guided by modern digital and intelligent management approaches. It centers on key management areas such as on-site safety, quality, cost, production, equipment, environment, human resources, artificial intelligence, and big data applications, highlighting critical nodes including foundational theoretical knowledge, practical operational skills, and effective management methodologies. This initiative plays a vital role in cultivating team leaders who are well-suited to the new industrial models of the new era, supporting the industry’s transformation and upgrading, and accelerating innovative development in manufacturing.
