On the morning of March 17, the company’s Third Session of the Ninth Workers’ Congress and the 2017 Advanced Commendation Conference were held in the company’s multi-functional hall. Company leaders Qu Jiguang, Su Xuejun, Gao Shuping, Zhang Qingjiang, Wu Hengyao, Han Shuqin, Li Weimin, Shi Jianhui, and Song Mingxia took their seats on the presidium. More than 180 employee representatives from various workshops and departments, along with representatives of advanced producers (and workers), attended the meeting to jointly celebrate the achievements of the past year and sing together toward a brilliant new year. The conference was chaired by Shi Jianhui, Secretary of the Party Committee.

Company leaders Qu Jiguang, Su Xuejun, Gao Shuping, Zhang Qingjiang, Wu Hengyao, Han Shuqin, Li Weimin, Shi Jianhui, and Song Mingxia took their seats on the presidium. More than 180 employee representatives from various workshops and departments, along with representatives of advanced producers (and workers), attended the meeting to jointly celebrate the achievements of the past year and sing together for a brilliant new year ahead. The conference was chaired by Shi Jianhui, Secretary of the Party Committee.
The meeting kicked off with a ceremony honoring outstanding individuals and teams. General Manager Su Xuejun read out to the assembly two important decisions: “Decision on Commending Advanced Teams and Outstanding Production (Work) Personnel for 2017” and “Decision on Commending Units That Won the 2017 Labor Competition.” Amidst cheerful music, representatives from the advanced teams, outstanding production (work) personnel, and winning workshops—each adorned with bright red flowers—received medals and certificates of honor from the company’s leaders on the stage. Their joy was evident on their faces, and the entire audience erupted into enthusiastic applause, expressing both congratulations and deep respect.
Liu Bao-cun, an employee from Workshop 208, delivered an initiative on behalf of all the honored advanced producers (workers): “Let us share both honor and disgrace, work together in harmony and mutual support, fully demonstrate our sense of ownership, and jointly uphold the company’s philosophy—‘Love the people through quality, prioritize integrity, and build a century-old enterprise.’ Let us study diligently, set lofty aspirations, and truly love, excel at, and master whatever job we undertake, becoming role models characterized by firm convictions, solid work ethics, superb technical skills, and a deep commitment to our posts. Let us obey the overall situation, collaborate closely, pool our wisdom and strength, tackle challenges head-on, and strive wholeheartedly to achieve the production and business targets for 2018.” Mi Jun-qing, the team leader of Line 37 in Workshop 103, and He Ya-zhuo, the team leader of Line 15 in Workshop 208—both winners of first place in the fourth-quarter competition—each took to the stage to share their work experiences.
The conference calls upon the collectives and individuals honored to cherish their accolades, stay true to their original character, and proactively adapt to the company’s new requirements and changes. They should further update their mindsets, broaden their perspectives, and, through their concrete actions, unite and lead all employees to embrace the new normal with fresh ideas, tackle new challenges with innovative approaches, and create new prospects with groundbreaking initiatives. All employees are urged to take the advanced role models as their inspiration, love their jobs, dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to their duties, work diligently and selflessly, and actively engage in the enterprise’s development.
Following the staff congress, Chairman Qu Jiguang delivered a work report titled “Unite Hearts and Pool Strengths, Stay True to Our Original Aspirations, and Strive to Write a New Chapter of Enterprise Development in the New Era,” amid warm applause. The “Work Report” reviewed and affirmed the company’s achievements in 2017, conducted a scientific assessment of the current situation, and emphasized the need to objectively analyze the circumstances, clearly define development goals, boldly push forward reforms, and earnestly pursue transformative development. With high spirits, vigorous enthusiasm, and an indomitable fighting spirit that refuses to fear difficulties, we will propel the company to a new starting point for development.
Chairman Qu Jiguang reviewed the company’s key achievements in 2017 from the perspectives of optimizing structural adjustments, fostering R&D innovation, and building quality and brand strength. He pointed out that in the year 2017, which has now come to a close, despite a series of profound changes—including shifts in industrial policies and deep restructuring within the industry—the company, both at the top and on the ground, adhered to the new development philosophy, focused on key priorities, addressed shortcomings, and strengthened our areas of strength. By seizing opportunities, taking concrete actions, and rising to challenges head-on, we have achieved historic accomplishments in driving the company’s development.
Regarding the achievement of the 2018 development goals, Chairman Qu Jiguang pointed out in his report that: first, we must adapt to changes in industrial policies and promote new breakthroughs in structural adjustment; second, we should accelerate the development of innovative enterprises and drive their transformation, upgrading, and leapfrogging; third, we must strengthen quality and safety management to ensure the healthy and stable development of our enterprises; fourth, we should speed up the construction of projects such as Cangzhou Guangxiang Pharmaceutical, thereby fostering the formation of an integrated “one body, two wings” development framework and vigorously cultivating new drivers for enterprise growth; fifth, we should cultivate and forge an outstanding corporate culture, unite hearts and minds, and create a synergistic force to propel development.
The meeting also heard a report titled “Explanation on the 2018 Adjustments to Employee Compensation and the Economic Responsibility System,” presented by Wang Chunfa, Manager of the Human Resources Department.
During the breakout sessions, employee representatives carefully deliberated on the “Work Report” delivered by Chairman Qu Jiguang. Everyone actively participated in the discussion and wholeheartedly praised the report. All agreed that the report was both truthful and comprehensive, a forward-looking document brimming with hope; a report grounded in reality and bolstering confidence; and a report inspiring and energizing everyone to strive for greater achievements. Chairman Qu Jiguang patiently and thoroughly addressed each of the suggestions and concerns raised by employees regarding enterprise development and their personal lives. The conference unanimously adopted, by a show-of-hands vote, both the “Work Report” presented by Qu Jiguang and the “Explanation on the 2018 Employee Compensation and Economic Responsibility System Adjustments” submitted by Wang Chunfa.
