In response to General Secretary Xi’s call for intensifying scientific research efforts in epidemic prevention and control, and in active implementation of the measures outlined in the “Several Measures to Strengthen Collaborative Research on Novel Coronavirus Infection Pneumonia and Enhance Scientific and Technological Support for Sudden Public Health Emergencies,” the National Intellectual Property Operation Public Service Platform (hereinafter referred to as the “Platform”) is soliciting applications from research institutions, universities, and enterprises for its “Patent Operation Specialized Database” project. The Platform will build, free of charge, specialized big-data databases on relevant technological topics for eligible applicant organizations. Research institutions, universities, and enterprises that have made contributions to the prevention and control of COVID-19 or have conducted scientific research breakthroughs in emergency projects related to COVID-19 prevention and control are all welcome to apply. Once selected, the Platform will build the corresponding specialized database on the relevant technological topic at no cost for each applicant organization, and the applicant organizations will be able to use this specialized database free of charge for one year.
It is understood that the National Intellectual Property Operation Public Service Platform is a pilot project initiated jointly by the National Intellectual Property Administration and the Ministry of Finance, under the key work deployment outlined in the country’s 13th Five-Year Plan to “accelerate the construction of a nationwide intellectual property operation, trading, and service platform and build a strong intellectual property nation.” As the core component of the national “1+N” intellectual property operation system, this platform will provide platform support for patent transfer and commercialization, acquisition and trusteeship, transaction circulation, pledge financing, patent navigation, and other related activities, thereby enhancing the efficiency of patent utilization.
Abidol is a flagship product of Shijiazhuang Fourth Pharmaceutical. During the pandemic, the company’s employees diligently remained on the front line of producing preventive and therapeutic drugs, working overtime to ensure the continuous supply of Abidol and making outstanding contributions to epidemic prevention and control, earning widespread acclaim from society.
In the battle against COVID-19, abidor has played a positive role. Re-examination and re-development of abidor have become important research topics for enterprises. The recently submitted big-data special database project—“Abidor and Its Salt-Based Pharmaceutical Preparations and Testing Methods”—has been successfully selected. This project will provide more scientific and comprehensive information for further research on this drug, thereby boosting related research efforts.
