Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, Hebei Province—acting as a counterpart support unit for the Shennongjia Forestry District—has provided timely and much-needed assistance, offering robust support in terms of medical personnel and various supplies. In particular, this time, the Hebei Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce has mobilized chambers of commerce, enterprises, and entrepreneurs to actively make donations and contribute supplies, giving us boundless strength and encouragement.
“Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, Hebei Province—acting as the counterpart support unit for Shennongjia Forestry District—has provided timely and much-needed assistance on the front lines, offering strong support in terms of medical personnel and various supplies. In particular, this time, the Hebei Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce has mobilized chambers of commerce, enterprises, and entrepreneurs to actively donate funds and materials, giving us boundless strength.” On March 6, the Shennongjia Forestry District Federation of Industry and Commerce sent a special letter of thanks to the Hebei Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce, expressing heartfelt gratitude for the assistance provided by the Hebei Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce, chambers of commerce, and numerous enterprises and entrepreneurs since the onset of the pandemic.
After the state established the paired assistance mechanism, the Hebei Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce attached great importance to it and convened a special meeting to study the work of providing paired assistance to the Shennongjia Forestry District. It actively coordinated with and contacted relevant private enterprises to encourage their participation in the paired assistance effort.
On the evening of February 12, Su Xuejun, Vice President of the Hebei Provincial General Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., immediately contacted the Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce and the Federation of Industry and Commerce of Shennongjia Forestry District upon learning about the news of paired assistance in providing epidemic prevention and control supplies to Shennongjia Forestry District in Hubei Province, in order to understand the specific needs. After learning that the designated hospital in the forestry district was facing a shortage of emergency medications, he personally coordinated the allocation of moxifloxacin hydrochloride sodium injection from the company’s stockpile for donation to Shennongjia Forestry District. At the same time, he also arranged for 2,000 boxes of Abidol capsules to be donated to the Provincial Zhongji Poverty Alleviation Foundation for distribution to the forestry district.
After coordinated communication, the Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce, in collaboration with the Hebei Zhongji Poverty Alleviation Foundation, Shijiazhuang Siyao Co., Ltd., and Shijiazhuang Yiling Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., jointly donated 500,000 yuan in cash and pharmaceuticals worth another 500,000 yuan—totaling 1 million yuan—to the Shennongjia Forestry District in Hubei Province, to support local epidemic prevention and control efforts.
“As a responsible non-public enterprise, we have an obligation to contribute our part in this war without smoke and gunfire,” said Su Xuejun.
